I HATE my wedding dress

I'm getting married next month, my dress has arrived and I hate it. I need to find a new one and fast. Please help?

I have toyed with the idea of non-white dresses, at this rate I'm open to anything. Ideally wanted a midi length pale dress that doesn't look like a bridesmaid dress (The one I have bought is blush and floaty and bridesmaidy). :( :(

I cant believe I want to keep a second dress. A ghost dress. I don't think I can justify buying(/keeping) 2 gold dresses so a little unsure what to do. The AP shade of gold compliments my skin tone the best. With the Ghost dresses - in the pictures I can see the Oyster looks better on my skin than Silver (which looks grey in the picture) but in reality the Oyster is a very pale champagne colour and possibly washes me out a little. Actually, the silver possibly looks better - I appreciate the lighting in the photos doesn't reflect this. But I totally agree the oyster dress flatters my figure better, highlighting my waist rather than the silver dress drawing attention to my lumpy bumpy middle and glazing over my top/waist. I do like the dress though even though I know it would suit other body shapes more than mine. Cant decide whether to go against the mould and stick with Claudia in Silver or get the Salma (currently have it in oyster) in Silver

I'm thinking elegant ghost dress for morning/ceremony then AP champagne for the evening. We will have a professional photographer for half the day - is it acceptable to change dress so theres photos in both?

The grey Ghost dress is the exact one my DD wore as a bridesmaid. She wore it the other way round with the cowl at the front. In the shop they were clear it could be worn either way round. It was so lovely.

Yes you could change half way, why not?

And if you think the silver looks better in RL then swap to silver. But I would say it really must be the Salma not the Claudia. Little bit of extra effort involved sending back the Claudia and ordering the Salma, but worth it.

One thought, have you tried both with wedding ish make up? As that may make a difference to what suits you best

@xela21, of course you can change your dress. Many brides do it. I changed my wedding veil after the ceremony to have a more comfortable one for the rest of the day.
The AP and second ghost dress are both warm colours so if they compliment your skin tone it means the silver doesn't. A person looks good in either cold or warm tones. So If you choose silver you need a warm tone near your face (like a shawl). Otherwise a wrong tone will make you look tired.

OP what about the Salma in boudoir pink I think that actually looks the colour that the Oyster photographs as? Then you have a blush dress and a gold dress.
Get the Salma it is so much more flattering on your figure either silver or pink. It literally is wow in terms of cut and fit on you.

But definitely do the Ghost day and AP evening will be so fab and lux you will feel amazing!

But I think the shape of Salma Ghost is stunning on you.
And AP looks amazing on you too.
And if you think the silver Ghost colour looks better in real life, then defo get Salma is Silver. It’s a beautiful dress and colour. AND get the AP.

I do like the AP dress on you, it look lovely.

Otherwise I like the fit of the Salma dress. If you say the Oyster is much darker than it photographs, then perhaps the pink is a good option.

The ghost ones are nowhere near as nice on you. They're too clingy & don't flatter you

If I was you I'd stick with the AP dress and took forever someone to take it up

I would love to see the 2nd ghost dress is silver! All 3 dresses are beautiful, so you won’t be making a wrong decision.

Good choices with silver salma and AP dress! Have 2 why the hell not! Can wear them again or sell them on after.

The AP dress looks lovely on and if you either change to smaller size or take up & in a bit, it will be a lovely fit & really show off your figure.
Second choice would be the Salma dress in silver. Looks a good fit & lovely material.
Wouldn't change into 2nd dress for a small wedding as part of the advantage of a small wedding for me is that it would be more relaxed. So wouldn't want hassle of changing. Instead would spend money on makeup/ accessories & headwear to suit either the silver or champagne colour & enjoy wearing them & dress.

To a previous poster that asked - yes the Claudia Ghost dress is reversible (haven't got a pic but is very glam, very low cut/cleavage-y on me literally everything is on show so personally don't feel it's wedding appropriate but I would wear it at a more suitable occasion, how versatile). I haven't fully decided which ghost dress (will likely return both and get in different sizes/colours i.e silver Salma) but would it be a total disaster to consider silver Claudia in a smaller size? I like the style even though I know it would flatter taller, slimmer ladies more. Does it make me look way too frumpy? I just think Claudia has more character than Salma..

For now, the AP dress is the only definite keeper. I would absolutely love for suggestions for accessories/rest of the look - I have long curly dark hair (easy hair ideas very welcome), make up, shoes, ?scarf, bouquet ideas/boutonniere for the groom etc.

I don't think I will have a veil - as mentioned I think in the opening post - we're not religious at all didnt really want the traditional white wedding dress and veil vibe.
