To ask if this hair colour is blonde or brunette?

My hair colour is dark blonde or light brown ("mousey brown"). I don't particularly like it but I think it's what suits me best.

I have always referred to it as being brown/brunette. However, my colleagues were discussing hair colour and all agreed that they would refer to me as being blonde. I know it's an ambiguous colour but I'm curious, would you say this hair colour is blonde or brunette?

It’s clearly not blonde. I mean, would you describe Jennifer Anniston’s hair as blonde?

I would actually. I’ve always thought she’s a blonde.

I blame the Oxford dictionary for why I’ve always thought brunettes are women with dark brown hair.

I have what I call, and always called light brown hair. However when I started covering greys all the light brown hair dye was waaaaaay to dark. Dark ash blonde was the colour I used (decided to stop bothering and go grey now).
So in hairdressing terms it probably is dark blonde.

I buy 'dark blonde' hair dye - and the other day in Boots I noticed the different brands went from regular blonde to quite a dark brown picture on the different boxes.....so no wonder everyone get's confused!!

I would call it brown too. Lovely hair.

I think it looks dark blonde.

I'd say dirty blonde. That is not being rude!!!! I was going to say light brown with blonde highlights. But there is too many large highlights to be simply brown.
