Just going through those early great albums, The Slim Shady, The Marshall Mathers LP, the Eminem show...and thinking what a genius. I’ve also had some glasses of wine so am rambling. But those brilliant lyrics. Sigh....anyone agree?

I don't like Rap myself , but my son would argue that Kendrick Lamar is the best rapper ever.

Although your son has probably grown up with the worst rappers out so I can see why Kendrick would seem to be best among other "current" rappers

If it weren't for the fruity language they would be on the English A-level syllabus, IMHO. The man's early work was genius.

So is his newer stuff. But you need to pay attention to the word play .

Eminem being in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is nonsense. In the Rap HoF or Hip Hop HoF certainly, but he's not a rock and roll legend.

You wouldn't put Serena Williams in the Motorsport Hall of Fame. The Sport HoF or Tennis HoF maybe.
