That women shouldn’t be forced into silence over males competing in female sports

NEW Zealand has selected a 43 yr old transwoman to represent them in the Olympics in the women’s weightlifting competition. Female athletes feel they are being forced into silence on the issue. How did it come to this?

So there are sex-based biological differences and when it comes to those born as males needing testosterone these need to be acknowledged ... but when it comes to the advantages in weight-lifting that males have over females they need to be ignored

This puts the ridiculous contradictions and unfairness of transwomen competing in women’s events in a nutshell.

And that’s before we get to the utter selfishness and narcissism on display ….

The double standard is really breathtaking and so is the complete dismissal of those born female - the effects on women athletes of having those like Hubbard compete are not even mentioned.

@OwlBeThere

For people who feel silenced I hear about how everyone on mumsnet feels about trans women every 5 mins.
That’s because MN is anonymous and it’s less easy to cancel people. By all means go out into other social media and argue the point and see what happens....

It amazes me that every time women put their heads over the parapet and ask for a small morsel of the pie we are told we are selfish - but there are different rules for others.

"this first (incomplete) part of the story shows how, controlled for age, Hubbard is lifting well outside female range"
