AIBU?

To eat a whole pizza?!

Was talking to my Mum about pizza. When we buy a frozen one from the shop, we will sit down say on a Friday night and eat a whole one each no problem. My Mum thinks that's piggish as she has about three slices 🥴

@FlibbertyGiblets Iceland do some pretty good frozen pizzas, I love their stuffed crust ones. I'm sure they sell some Hawaiian too

I love eating a whole pizza. Im size 12.

When i ate half i was a size 8. Portions matter.

I could easily eat 2 or 3 whole pizzas though.

@Mistlewoeandwhine I wonder if you visited my mum. Last time we were there she even cut the pizza into bite sized chunks, for the adults!
DP has started packing secret protein bars when we visit now so he doesn’t completely starve

What sort of people are these? Apart from slim obviously...

Whole pizza each here too. Even the 4yo can eat a whole one to herself, plus crudités and popcorn. Although when we make our own, she only manages half despite it having a smaller diameter than supermarket pizza. Homemade is obviously far more substantial!

For the pearl clutchers: 4yo (and 6yo, for that matter) is a healthy weight and very active with a balanced diet. She doesn't eat the above every night...

Your mum probably eats more when everyone goes to bed

Of course you can eat a whole one. If you order pizza in a sit down restaurant then you'll be served a whole pizza.

Takeaway we can't manage a whole one each.

But frozen (Dr Oetker sort) are a one per person type in our house.

We may split the flavours but neither DH, I, nor eldest DD struggle to eat a whole one.

Youngest usually leaves a couple of pieces. Occasionally eldest or I will if we've got sides. But I'm very happy with cold pizza the next day so often I try and leave some on purpose if I can just to enjoy it later. (Which if I'm honest is the reason I'll do sides.)

Halloumi fries, onion rings, coleslaw and chicken wings are the sides if it's a special occasion pizza night treat kind of thing.

I can eat a whole supermarket pizza easily. Can also do a small dominoes and a medium size thin crust pizza. I love pizza!

When DP and I get Dominos we get a large each. He eats it in one go and I have 2/3 for dinner and 1/3 for lunch the next day.

A pizza would have to be MASSIVE for us to share it Blush

I always have a whole, average plate-sized supermarket pizza, usually with a bit of salad on the side. Pizza is my favourite treat dinner, I eat very healthily in general.

Half a pizza plus a snack like garlic mushrooms here!

Is your Mum also my Mum!? Mine loves to make a massive deal about how she only ever has 2 slices.

She also loves to preach about her healthy option at pizza express with the salad in the middle, yes it’s healthy because 2/3rds of it is missing!

Nothing wrong with a whole pizza.

What size pizza are we talking about?

Life is too short to turn down pizza!

Supermarket pizza is definitely one each, takeaway pizza we get 2 large ones between the two of us and have half of one that night and the rest for lunch/dinner the next day.

Myself, my DP and 8 year-old DS, each eat a whole pizza, chips and salad. Sometimes dessert afterwards. All of us are slim and generally eat well throughout the week, but Friday=Funday=Pizzaday :-)

I honestly can't eat a full pizza to myself, not even a Domino's small one - I can't eat a full pizza in a restaurant. It's either finished by DH or gets doggy-bagged. But that's because I get uncomfortably bloated really quickly rather than 'ooh I couldn't possibly. You're all greedy'.

I mean, give me cheese & biscuits and I'd out eat a rhino.

I have a separate pizza stomach. 14 inch thin crust no issues
Yet curry or chinese I am defeated by a main and rice

I'm well known for my big appetite, but I don't eat a whole pizza in one sitting. I cut pizzas into 6 pieces, usually eat 3 or 4 slices, then save the rest to eat cold for breakfast. It's not the volume of food that I can't manage, but they're never delicious enough for me to want to plough through a whole one. They're too boring to keep enjoying to the end.

Back in the day I used to - after the pub, me and my friend would share a pineapple and pepperoni 11", a pizza base garlic bread and a large fries (which is pretty much equal to 1 pizza each plus fries)...

These days I can only do 3 slices and the rest is saved for the next day, and all the 'pizza bones' (crusts) go to the dogs.

We don't get supermarket pizzas or frozen ones as they always turn out crap :(

To add... its not a lack of desire to eat the whole thing, I just can't now :(
