To eat a whole pizza?!

Was talking to my Mum about pizza. When we buy a frozen one from the shop, we will sit down say on a Friday night and eat a whole one each no problem. My Mum thinks that's piggish as she has about three slices 🥴

Literally just ordered a pizza for myself, came straight on here and saw this thread...

HiGunny · 06/05/2021 20:51

I used to eat a whole one but then checked the calories on the box one day and it was almost my daily allowance (I'm small). So now I only ever eat half with a salad 😇

Ninkanink · 06/05/2021 20:52

I always make sure we get extra large pizzas so that there’s plenty left for breakfast or lunch the next day. 😋😋

lavenderlou · 06/05/2021 20:53

Depends on your appetite. Standard supermarket pizza I eat 4-5 slices (half or just over) with salad and coleslaw and that's fine for me. I also like saving some for lunch the next day. I do have quite a small appetite though and am more of a "little and often" eater. DH would eat a whole one no problem.

When I was a kid we would share one pizza between a family of 4 and just have a slice each! I can't really remember but I'm assuming we must have had more stuff on the side.

LividJabber · 06/05/2021 20:53

I just had to leave two slices to save for breakfast at work tomorrow and I’m still angry I didn’t eat them tonight.

But it was that or be arsed also making breakfast.

Also ate a proverbial mumsnet massive salad.

PicturesOfLily · 06/05/2021 20:53

I’ve just eaten a whole one for my tea. I was quite pleased we ate after dd had gone to bed so I didn’t need to share Blush

Bipitybopityboop · 06/05/2021 20:53

I can easily eat an entire 10 inch pizza.
And dough balls.

Sparklfairy · 06/05/2021 20:54

If we buy supermarket pizza we call it 'sexed up' pizza, which involves adding extra cheese and garlic and possibly tomatoes/mushrooms/peppers etc. We do split it because of this. So. Much. Cheese Grin

@MarcelineMissouri

I always eat a whole pizza!! Although I had half a pizza and some salad on Saturday after my 6 year old told me I looked pregnant.....
The problem there is the salad.
Forgothowmuchlhatehomeschoolin · 06/05/2021 21:00

Hell yeah l could easily smash a whole pizza to myself!

IceSwallowCome · 06/05/2021 21:01

Some right greedy bastards on this thread. If I want a pizza I just look at the dominos website and I'm stuffed for a fortnight.

goose1964 · 06/05/2021 21:03

I used to be able to eat a whole one, now it lasts me two meals, and it's not one of the big ones DH adds toppings to, either.

FlibbertyGiblets · 06/05/2021 21:04

Ah now, whilst we are talking about pizza, where are you getting your Hawaiian from? None in Tesco or co op or Waitrose. I get farkkin cross having to add ham and pineapple to a margarita pizza at home. (We live in the sticks no dominoes or just eat round these parts)

ColdTattyWaitingForSummer · 06/05/2021 21:05

One frozen pizza between two here. Or when the dc were younger I’d split one between the three of us with garlic bread and / or salad. If we do homemade pizza we do slightly smaller ones and all pick our own toppings.

thewinehasgonetomyhead · 06/05/2021 21:05

Easy peasy eat a whole one.

Chicago town cheese feast beats me though, but only by a slice or two. Drools.

Pedalpushers · 06/05/2021 21:07

I'm pretty sure I could fold up a supermarket oven pizza and be done with it in a few bites.

cherry2727 · 06/05/2021 21:10

I'm with your mom- I only have two slices on pizza night ! The thought of eating an entire pizza makes me sick !!

ColinKnocksTwoPence · 06/05/2021 21:11

Don't think I've ever had a frozen pizza, we tend to buy the ones from the chilled cabinet.
A 7" would be one each and a 10" would be shared between 2.
Usually with salad and coleslaw.

FizzyPink · 06/05/2021 21:12

I wouldn’t even share a Dominoes pizza between two never mind a supermarket frozen one.

Those extra slices are tomorrow’s breakfast Grin

Feather12 · 06/05/2021 21:17

If there were nice frozen pizzas I could eat a whole one. But as they don’t exist I could maybe manage one small slice.

JillsFlapjacks · 06/05/2021 21:17

I prefer to have a few slices and then have some sides. But a whole pizza is not beyond my capabilities Grin

Bipitybopityboop · 06/05/2021 21:17

You are my type of person.

Do you eat them cold too? For some reason to me, dominoes is nice either piping hot or straight out of the fridge.

Mistlewoeandwhine · 06/05/2021 21:19

I once went to a slim person’s house for lunch. There was one frozen pizza between 3 adults and 3 children. There was a few bits like cherry tomatoes, hummus and breadsticks. I was nearly weeping with hunger. Mind you, that’s why she is very slim and I’m not.

OMG, how can you possibly LOOK at all those CALORIES? Don't you know that looking at calories causes premature ageing and your left leg to drop off? I suggest you stick to looking at dust, it's so much healthier.
Myglueattack · 06/05/2021 21:27

Whole one here, with extra cheese, tomato and mushroom I've put on the top... And some chips 😋😋 my dh & teenage dsd will eat the same too. Pizza is a treaty night!
