What is the most you have ever won?

Just out of curiousity what is the most you have ever won? Whether that be in a competition or on the lottery?

I can't even win £1 on a scratch card 🤣 I'm just wondering if people actually ever won anything?

Ps I'm not a gambler nor do I intend to gamble, this is purely just following a conversation me and my friend were having earlier.

PaddleBoardingMomma · 05/05/2021 22:30

Hmm not sure this qualifies as won...

But my husband took a shot at an auction on some Chinese coins and won, spent about £22 plus commission.

Sold them 6 months later at a heritage auction in Hong Kong for £250,000 ish.

i won £20,000 on online bingo by getting a full house in a certain amount of numbers. i couldn’t bloody believe it. i drove to my mum’s so she could check my balance that i wasn’t seeing things 😂 also £1,000 on a scratch card last year. and regularly win sums of up to £1,000 on the irish lotto and football bets.

ArnottsUnderpass · 05/05/2021 22:34

I'm storing my luck up, I reckon.

Biggest lottery win to date? £2.40 euromillions. I sometimes get a lucky dip.

Other than those dizzy heights....ummm... probably some booze on the bottle tombola at the school fête.

I am truly appalling luck wise.

I did once get s great horse tip (worked in racing at the time) and won about £200. That's probably my winner.

captainpantbeard · 05/05/2021 22:34

21k in a lottery syndicate. Although not a “life changing” amount, it did mean DH and I could move house, which was life changing for us.

Timeisavirtue · 05/05/2021 22:35

£250 on a casino website where I didn’t spend any money. I got free spins and had £80 accrued, it wouldn’t let me take it out. DP read the terms and basically you had to wager over £200 so we kept betting stupid money and ended up winning £250.

kiksta · 05/05/2021 22:37

£500 in a radio competition

GriseldaChop · 05/05/2021 22:39

I won £12.5k from the Postcode Lottery in 2009! Just found the big golden cheque the other day when I was clearing out the sideboard! Smile

VaggieMight · 05/05/2021 22:43

£50 the first time I bought a £5 scratch card. I reinvested the winnings on further scratch cards until I lost the lot.

Olemining · 05/05/2021 22:44

Just over £2800 on the horses on a Lucky15. The stake was £3 and I had 3 good priced winners. Had the 4th horse won it would have been @ £24k.

Lavendersquare · 05/05/2021 22:44

£25,000 on a tv game show, a few years ago and whilst not a life changing amount it was the single biggest amount of money I have ever had in one go. Enabled us to have a fantastic family holiday and improve our home and we still have a bit tucked away.

Clydesider · 05/05/2021 22:52

I won £500 to spend on merchandise that ASOS ran when they were a relatively new operation, selling things 'as seen on stars.'

I've also recently won a foods prize, probably worth more than £100.

Worldwide2 · 05/05/2021 22:58

@zancah 😂🤣😂🤣 👌

FrankSpencersBeret · 05/05/2021 23:00

25K on Capital Radio Birthday Bonanza with Chris Tarrant. They used my excited screams all week to promo the following week's competition which was for 50K.

Cocopogo · 05/05/2021 23:02

Waw so many lucky people here. I got a £200 John Lewis voucher and a Google home (both from MN) that the DC absolutely love even years later

littlepieces · 05/05/2021 23:06

£10 on lottery. Tragic.

CupoTeap · 05/05/2021 23:07

£400 on a mn comp lots of years ago!

UnlimitedChipsAndSalsa · 05/05/2021 23:25

@Zancah Way to keep 'em in line!

Won £156 on a Lotto rolldown. Also, a free large pizza and a T-shirt in two different hula-hooping contests. Should've gone pro!

Smarties87 · 05/05/2021 23:29

I entered a competition to win the dvd series of Cadfael (drama about a 12 century monk) in my local paper, about 5 years ago. My dad used to love watching it. I was so excited when it arrived in the post a week later. I honestly think I was the only one who entered ...Wink

ToDoListAddict · 05/05/2021 23:32

£1000 on the Cats Protection League Lottery
