Just out of curiousity what is the most you have ever won? Whether that be in a competition or on the lottery?

I can't even win £1 on a scratch card 🤣 I'm just wondering if people actually ever won anything?

Ps I'm not a gambler nor do I intend to gamble, this is purely just following a conversation me and my friend were having earlier.

£7k on a tv game show!

Money just over £500 in a bet on an outsider on the Derby, prize wise a weekend at Centerparcs

£50 on the premium bonds when I was 8. Bought myself a new bike. DH won £1k in a local community raffle a couple of years ago.

£1k on the postcode lottery!

£500 on premium bonds a few years ago. Was absolutely delighted.

2k on a casino slots win.
£1000 a few times at bingo

£820 on a 10 team football accumulator (£1 bet, would’ve been £1100 but got the jitters and cashed out )

I won £100 in a scratch, £60 on a £1 bet.£150 on a £1 bet. And (my fave) about £300 on the slots in Vegas (my fave because a)had no clue how much it was and b) as before, I’m very much a ‘Chuck a quid in and hope for the best’ kinda girl

€7000 on an Irish radio station phone-in competition. All for the word "floaters"

£26000 on an online slot machine

What online slot machine was it? Also, how long did it take for the casino to pay that into your bank account? £26k would have taken weeks I'd imagine as they would have to do checks etc on anything over £10k.

I've won £700 on a online slot called Kingmaker. That withdrew fine as it was less than £10k and it was in my bank account the following day.

Most on a scratch card - £15

Most on the lottery - £110 (4 numbers, on the old £1 stake)

Premium bonds - jack shit

Tombola - a school bag

Raffles - joke book, bottle of wine, shower gel set, tin of Quality Street etc. Nothing over a tenner really

Magazine competitions - entered loads but never won any!

Online competitions - £50 cash because my online review got randomly selected. Late 1990s when the internet was still fairly new

Me and my mum each won £14000 at bingo on separate tickets on the same night. We won the National game and then won 2 full houses. I was only 19 and she'd dragged me along, the regulars were furious!
A few weeks later I was 1 number away from winning £100k, devastated!

Friends once dragged us to the bingo. I won £250. Hated the stress, and the evil looks from all the pensioners I then worried would kill me on the way out, and never went again.

About £550 from a bet where you bet on 3 horses in different races.

A few years ago I accidently put £10 into a betting machine rather than £5 on grand national day. I always do a little flutter each year if the bookies are open (cough lockdown).

After placing my £5 bet I could not work out how to get the other £5 back so I put two additional bets on three horses each. It was only when I checked the ticket the next day I realised one of them won.

Serves them right for making it so hard to get change from their betting machine.

£10k on a scratchcard. It was many years ago when I was young and stupid, it paid for a nice holiday, multiple nights out, treats for my friends and family and a shopping spree.

I'm pretty lucky on things like tombolas and raffles. Best prize I have won was at a beer festival around 20 years ago - I won the star prize. A trolley jack.

20k on the lottery. I bought a house (used it as a deposit and got a mortgage).

£80 on an online app thing. I was bored and it said I got £25 free with a £5 deposit! Wasn't expecting to win anything but did!

I don't really gamble much. I have a DD for the euromillions and occasionally win £2.60

Not much unfortunately except a teddy bear at a fun fair. I’ve had it nearly 40 years and it’s now priceless to me!
