Just out of curiousity what is the most you have ever won? Whether that be in a competition or on the lottery?

I can't even win £1 on a scratch card 🤣 I'm just wondering if people actually ever won anything?

Ps I'm not a gambler nor do I intend to gamble, this is purely just following a conversation me and my friend were having earlier.

I'm glad I cheered a few of you up, tbf I made that comment fresh off the back of a general anaesthetic so I'm not sure I can claim all that much praise for my hilarity. I was high, Guv.

Wheresmybiscuit3 · 06/05/2021 20:07

Lol @Zancah

I hope you are recovering Flowers

(name changed for this!)

Personally - not that much.

But I have two uncles who won £500k and £1million on Who Wants to be a Millionaire who were very generous with family, so indirectly a nice amount Smile

Keepnamechangin · 06/05/2021 20:37

£60 on a scratchcard.
I thought I won £30 but it was actually double.

Keepnamechangin · 06/05/2021 21:03

I wish i would win something sometimes.

goose1964 · 06/05/2021 21:07

A holiday to Cyprus

fibeee · 06/05/2021 21:37

I won an iPad mini in a competition. Money-wise the most I’ve won in one time was £50 in the premium bonds

That's great Cheeky! They may not be your uncles but I remember a man on WWTBAM whose brother won 500k & he won 1m, then I saw the same guy win 10k on game show Impossible Grin I was cheering him on so much as I remembered him & he seemed like a really nice man.
KrinklyBottom · 06/05/2021 22:08

12k at gala bingo. Had to go halves with my nan though. 3 days before we left for an already planned holiday to Spain. Was great not having to worry about spending money for a change.

CheekyNameChanger · 06/05/2021 22:20

@RonSwansonsChair I don't think the guy on Impossible was my uncle (unless he kept it a secret!).

notanothertakeaway · 06/05/2021 22:26

I won £70 case of wine

A former neighbour won £260,000 lottery

CloverHilla · 06/05/2021 22:42

Most I've ever won is €9 on the Euromillions - which I promptly spent all of on a bottle of wine :)

Katiejanej · 06/05/2021 23:04

I haven’t won anything really except Lambrini at the Christmas Fair, but I do loads of jewellery giveaways for the business and it’s lovely to tell someone they’ve won something 🥰

Keepnamechangin · 08/05/2021 12:14

I signed up to Lottery instant wins to see and try my luck, I had some beginners luck where I won £2.50 on a £2.50 game.
Sadly not more.
Very addictive.
When I was playing the Try round I won £100 and £80 on various games like Monopoly but in real life £2.50 only or nothing.

mrscatmad31 · 08/05/2021 12:23

I win £1000 on Tombola a couple of years ago, was buying a house at the time so it helped pay towards our new kitchen!

How did you win the handbag? I'm always wondering whether to enter those Instagram "tag 5000 people and give us your kidney" type posts

@SEE123

At a school raffle, there probably wasn't more than about 300 people entered.

Sparklesocks · 08/05/2021 23:57

£6.60 on the euromillions 😁

Whatflavourjellybabyisnice · 09/05/2021 00:03

£75 on NS&I

QueenPaw · 09/05/2021 00:30

About £500 online (matched betting)
A dyson in a MN competition

Nelia5 · 09/05/2021 06:18

A holiday to Vegas, including sightseeing helicopter flight and tickets to cirque du soleil. Won money on the slot machines while we were there, enough to cover all spending money.

ButtonMoony · 09/05/2021 06:23

£73,427 from a £10 accumulator football bet on FA cup 4th round 2017. It let me setup my business.

I then invested 5k of it in bitcoin. All in it was a total life changer

bubblicious3 · 09/05/2021 07:19

£7k on The Chase. Very proud of that 😁

sorryiasked · 09/05/2021 08:17

Some goldfish from the Fair (1980's!) - they lived a long and happy life in our garden pond Smile
