This resource apparently originated from TES via a company called EC Publishing. Parents need to be really aware of crap their kids are being taught, much of it endorsed or available from respected platforms like TES and PSHE Association. It's unscientific, its a safeguarding concern and it contravenes DfE guidelines on the teaching of RSE material.

Other resources I have seen from what I believe to be the same provider teaches kids about polyamory and shows a cartoon of 3 hyenas having sex. It suggests that humans were all polyamorous until we started worrying about STIs:

Parents need to be asking exactly what their schools are teaching and need to see the actual resources. And if they are teaching stuff like this then parents need to complain to the school. There are loads of loads of inappropriate resources being used in schools. Resources from Barnardos, NSPCC, Childline,, and other so called respected organisations. The Department for Education is clear they don't check or police school resources, it's up to schools to behave responsible and parents to complain if they are not. The issue is, how many parents on this site now exactly what schools are teaching their kids?

I'm so sick of anti-trans rhetoric weaponising the language of "two biological sexes" as if intersex people don't exist. It's so damaging and stigmatising and it's ALREADY stigmatising -- language like "hermaphropdite" or "heshe" etc.

Three biological sexes is scientifically inaccurate whatever way you want to frame it, and as previous poster says, intersex is not the same as transsexual.

Polyamory is a valid relationship model which consenting adults can choose to explore. I don’t have a problem with children being taught that there are relationship models beyond the traditional one of one man and one woman getting married and living together happily ever after - which for the majority of the children in the class will be neither the reality nor even desirable.

Intersex people are male or female. There are no further biological sexes.

how do you determine whether they're male or female? Is it based on what their genitals look like? is it based on what their internal organs are? is it based on how their body develops at/around puberty? is it based on what their chromosomes are? are you confident you know what your child's chromosomes are? All the chromosomes of everyone you know? Or what about if they're XXY? Is the intersex person allowed to decide for themselves, or contest the decision made by others when they were born?

"Intersex" is an umbrella term to cover people who have differences in sex development (DSDs). People with DSDs are still male or female- particular DSDs only affect Males or Females.

So yes, intersex people exist and they have also made clear that their conditions are not to be appropriated in the trans debate.

Intersex conditions do not require us to produce a third category of sex for humans in the same way that being born with one leg does not require us to expand the definition of humans as bipedal animals.

Also, it is quite a stretch to get from "teaching kids that not everyone gets married" to having a whole lesson on polyamory complete with 'fun" images of threesomes is there not? The age group this is aimed at is year 9. So aged 13/14.

You would be surprised. Resources like this are in many, many schools. Heads say "well it was on the TES or the PSHE Association so it must be ok".

Have you got kids? Do you know what they are being taught in their PSHE lessons? How would you react if this lesson was being taught to your child?

It's good to hear that most schools are good gatekeepers for this kind of boundary eroding shite.

If you look at some of the awful resources that are being produced - they're often often in the middle of perfectly reasonable, age appropriate resources which is the problem.
The DfE guidelines tells schools that they must check all materials / organisations, but when the PSHE association recommends resources or the government funds something like this particularly inappropriate dice 'game' that the Proud trust produced to be used wi†h 13 + year olds, schools assume that it's OK.
People can read from the link the details but if an adult played this game with a 13 year, they would be charged with an offence under the Sexual Offences Act.
Hopefully most schools don't use resources like this but the current climate encourages certain adults to think it's OK to breach safeguarding and age related boundaries with children.

On to the point at hand. I do find that some of the things that children are taught, that people are who they say they are, a bit of a red flag. This is not about trans people's right to exist but about simple safeguarding.

Suddenly we must assume that everyone who says they identify as trans is telling the truth. Otherwise we are unkind or transphobic bigots.

So whilst most people can be taken at face value the door is open to predators. When I was growing up a child at my school was abducted raped and murdered by a predatory male. It doesn't take much for people with such inclinations to pretend to be something they are not to gain access to children. But of course we are not allowed to talk about this. We are not allowed to point out that it is impossible to tell who has good intentions and who does not.

This is not about hating trans people it is about safeguarding.

It seems to escape some people that shit likes this, which minimises safeguarding and erodes boundaries, is what then feeds in to sexual predators being able to groom and abuse children.

The fact that what should be trusted organisations (NSPCC, TES) are actively promoting the blurring of boundaries should be flying so many red flags you could see them from space.

Yet it isn't; a public inquiry into the wholesale capture of our government and institutions by porn-addled queer theory is long overdue. If they can do it for bloody football with such urgency, why not for the protection of children?

You are most definitely NOT being unreasonable. This is so messed up. Seriously mums, we need to ask our kids' schools to show us EXACTLY what materials they using with our kids. And do not be fobbed off. My DD1 Head of PSHE is the shiftiest teacher I've ever come across. I've had to really persist. I've used the excellent Safe Schools Alliance UK briefing sheet on how to complain to my DD1's school.

What an odd video. It seemed to confuse polygamy with polyamory and for all its attempts to be politically correct, most couples shown were heterosexual and appeared to represent male/female.

I have no objection to teaching polyamory in particular - my main beef is that both it and monogamy (especially marital monogamy) are patriarchal constructs in which women and their needs are likely to come last.
