I am non judgmental on nearly all life choices. People can do what they want because it doesn't effect me or other people.

But I'm sorry staying with a paedophile is one of the situations whereby I judge harshly. How can you be attracted to someone you know has looked at a child in that way?

It’s sickening. His behaviour was vile, but she is the mother who allowed him into her daughters home and then prioritised him. And I judge the people who continue to socialise with them as a couple. Particularly those with children and grandchildren of their own.

I remember when her daughter was born reading some good articles about it. I have never been against India Knight - I used to enjoy her articles until 2 years ago I just cut back on my subscriptions a bit as I was finding it hard to find time to read everything - I just have the Financial Times now. I think her disabled daughter is 16 and now lives with her father. I don't think that is necessarily a wicked or bad thing.

Also I know if someone says child porn everyone gets up in arms but there are some cases where due to the strict liability nature of the offence if it is on your computer even if you did not know what came up on the screen you are advised to plead guilty etc. It is a bit of a minefield. However I have no details other than this thread of what he looked at or indeed what he did and I would never want to be an advocate for child porn, not in a month of Sundays.

Then just google it.
There are a few articles after sentencing that detail what he has searched for, what the video found was and the time line. It wasn't an "oh i downloaded a video by mistake and deleted it straight away". He had it for a number of years.
The defence was "he was drunk".

He attacked two schoolboys in that assault

The court heard he threw the 14-year-old boy to the ground and held him by the throat.

The boy's friend tried to rescue him but was elbowed by Joyce and winded.

Let's just layout the straight facts about her.

She is living with a man who has been found in a court of law of viewing/using CAT A child Abuse images.
Catagory A is the most desbased, violent form of Abuse.


The images he viewed were images was of child rape.

She has stayed with this man who has also been done for violence against a 14 year old boy.

IMO Knight has a very peculiar view of women who don't have as she calls it "little people in their life" and that's why they are unhappy.
A lovely kind thought from India there, for people who are struggling to convince.

And finally and least we forget the man she is lives with was found guilty of viewing images of child rape, l don't think that can be said enough.

But she still has her "blue tick" brigade of female journalists, like Cailtlin Moran and Lauren Lavern, giving her support. Which is great, as after the story broke about the child rape images India went on Twitter to reasure everyone that she was OK.

Joyce said in court - and it was accepted by the judge - he had given up drinking but he said that too after the violent assaults on the 14 and 15 year old boys. He was given a chance then and given a suspended prison sentence with a rehabilitation course condition. His offending has got worse, not better since - searching for and viewing images of sexual abuse including the rape of baby - yet he has been given a similar chance and sentence by the judge.

Judges don't always get it right. Some judges make the most dreadful remarks during sentencing.

I've no time for David Cameron but the one good thing he did while in power was to make it clear in law, that there are no child porn images online only child abuse images.

Thanks for the links. I am not always that happy to do google searches involving this topic for obvious reasons.
It says there was a film on his computer of almost a minute long and secondly that his computer showed searches for young girls. I still would like more details. Eg I have often searched for images of young girls - I might be looking for a dress to buy for a 6 year old relative or something. I am assuming his search terms were things like n aked 5 year old girls in s exy poses or something along those lines?

He sounds an awful live in partner for anyone to have. Even the drunker fights in the commons or whatever it was which I had read about years ago made me wonder why anyone would want him as a partner. The teenage boy assault and promising never to drink again and now finding he did drink again - none of it makes him look at all like someone someone would want to spend their life with.

I don't quite follow all the points above. Rape is indeed rape and a film of it is presumably can be pornography either involving a child or a woman.
