Is there anything that really shouldn't make you annoyed or that you hate but don't know why? I'll start, I hate those long coats that look like sleeping bags! I know its ridiculous to be annoyed by a coat, but... also people who talk into their phones but don't hold them to their ear. Aaaargh.

I know this has been around for years but when I hear statements being made with upward inflection I still get irrationally irritated.

Hate this with a passion? I always feel like it's as though they're checking you understand because they make everything sound like a question! It sounds patronising

Just thought of another. Those ASMR videos that are all over the place. The noises make me furious, I don't know why because if the sound was happening in a real life environment I'd not bat an eye. This one on definitely irrational but I can't stand it.

I didn't even know the term vocal fry but having looked it up, vocal fry is something that has always annoyed me but I had no idea there was a name for it!

Cardigans, especially long ones or ones that zip up

Clearing crumbs off the worktop. Having to touch cold congealed food when clearing plates. Fridge smells NOT envy. Definitely a theme.

Conflicting noises. In example, people watching videos with volume on their phone, while having the TV on loud right in front of them. Drives me insane

Also, the weird mangled way of singing vowel sounds that is currently being copied by every single singer. No originality.

I know they're better for the oceans but paper straws. They make my fingers spread out bend and clench up.

I hate people that don't clean up after themselves. I'm currently in hospital.due to pregnancy issues and twice people have left their plates and discarded cups in the day room. It's really crappy behaviour and winds me up. Not sure if this is counted as irrational though.

That is not irrational. It is perfectly justified.

Hatred of hair in the basin also not irrational.

The way actors on tv carry takeaway coffee cups. No so much in films but definitely in soaps - you can see by their light easy movements the cups are completely empty. No idea why but it irritates the hell out of me.

@Incywincyspinsters yes! People who vye for attention in public by talking loudly in queues etc, this really bugs me. When they look to you for a titter of appreciation for their little comedy act.

And people who sing all properly when walking in the street or public transport. As if Simon Cowell will walk by any minute and sign them.

Women who wear their hair in rollers in public. Brag to mates that they went shopping in rollers as they don't care what people think, yet care enough to spend an entire day getting done up for a bog standard night out.

Strapless dresses; I really hate seeing women wearing strapless dresses. Strapless dresses make me nervous.

Gender reveals (no one cares except you)

My social media being inundated with old school "friends" raving about this new shampoo / other beauty product which is clearly an MLM and they are just trying to bait people

Cereal boxes opened messily and “incorrectly” so they can’t be closed. Or any packets for that matter ... eg if theres a “proper” way with pull tabs like on washing powder boxes, but someone hacked at it instead so it can’t be resealed... I get disproportionate irrational rage.
