Fantasising about a fictional character!!

I need your help and to know if I am a complete lunatic and BVU or if this is something that happens to other people.

I have always had a very overactive imagination and have a tendancy to daydream but this is the first time (in adulthood anyway) that I have developed a full on obsession with a fictional character. Not the actor who plays this character, but the character himself! Last night I found myself googling this character and falling into the rabbit hole of the Internet and finding reams of erotic fan fiction. I am ashamed to say I found myself still awake at 2am after reading through tons these short stories Blush call me niave but I had no idea this stuff existed before! I feel such a dork!

Am I abnormal? What does this say about this verging on middle-aged married mother? My marriage and sex life are good, I love my husband and find him very attractive, I don't feel depressed or lonely. What is going on?! Grin

You're definitely not alone. I have a list as long as my arm - don't read fic, but I do write my own original stuff so plenty of dream men in there. Meanwhile I wouldn't mind most of the Black Dagger Brotherhood, Harry Dresden, Ruso and several others. I'm allowed too, I'm completely single.

I would say Adam Driver is usually too buff and his hair is too luxuriant, but when he went all skinny and lank-haired to play a monk in Silence he would have been the perfect Snape.

My DH doesn't let me have my life size Severus cardboard cutout in the bedroom either. He (Severus, not DH) does however life half way up the stairs! Grin

I only watched 3 Harry Potter films and didn’t read the books. But I totally get the obsession with Snape! But that’s because I’ve always liked Alan Rickman, since seeing him play the Sheriff of Nottingham.

And I totally agree with PPs about Aragorn. Smile

DS told DH that I regularly cheat on him with fictional characters. Blush DS and I talk.about books all the time.

Wattpad is quite good for phone reading! Or A03, better on desktop and you get used to the formatting quite quick. Smile
