Fantasising about a fictional character!!

I need your help and to know if I am a complete lunatic and BVU or if this is something that happens to other people.

I have always had a very overactive imagination and have a tendancy to daydream but this is the first time (in adulthood anyway) that I have developed a full on obsession with a fictional character. Not the actor who plays this character, but the character himself! Last night I found myself googling this character and falling into the rabbit hole of the Internet and finding reams of erotic fan fiction. I am ashamed to say I found myself still awake at 2am after reading through tons these short stories call me niave but I had no idea this stuff existed before! I feel such a dork!

Am I abnormal? What does this say about this verging on middle-aged married mother? My marriage and sex life are good, I love my husband and find him very attractive, I don't feel depressed or lonely. What is going on?!

If there's one thing I'm struggling with personally with Covid it's no time to myself in the house. I'd quite like to indulge in watching some films with my current choice of eye candy but DH is always around working.

Nine o clock at night is my time I’ve a tv in the bedroom unless he finds something we watch together I go and watch what I like believe I make time it keeps me sane, I also watch any serious surgery programs as well

@MrsGulDukat this one caught me about two months ago it was on my Twitter feed advertising Master I saw the picture and thought who is he? He’s gorgeous then another one a few week later I then heard the audio adverts and well that was it, full blown crush.

We only have the one TV. I've been known to watch stuff in my tablet, but I don't have Disney Plus on it . I'll have to see if you can have different users like Netflix. DH does not need to know how often I watch certain actors 😅

He has been rewatching DS9 and I do have a weakness for Dr Bashir.

I dabbled a bit in fanfiction, short pieces, they were mostly well received by the relevant fan community. They were fun, I enjoyed writing them and enjoyed being an active part of the community. But real life took priority and fan communities can be hard work when the latest installment in a franchise has changes that are not universally approved of. To put it tactfully.

What about Flint, yes I’ve adored Hans Gruber for years, the villain in the second Die Hard is not bad either after that forget, then Stansfield in Leon, Le Chief Mads Mickleson in Casino Royale. Now I dare not say the same I’d be lynched.

I find the bad guys a bit more magnetic in the way they carry themselves. But it has been a certain type. Not a violent baddie, but a cool, calm "make love or kill you" type.

Ahhh Hans! The first time I saw Die Hard (I was very late to the game) I remember expressing astonishment that we (the audience) were supposed to be on Bruce Willis’s side. Why would anyone root for that meat-head when his opponent was such a gorgeous, witty, sophisticated intellectual?

Oh I know Hans can take me off anytime.

I've always liked nice men, never been into bad guys. Until Loki, but he was clearly redeemable, so that's ok. And now Bucky.

If I can't get Disney Plus sorted I'll be on YouTube 😂 Somebody saved me the trouble of actually having to watch the second Thor film by editing all the Loki scenes together...
