4 adults living here plus one DD, only myself and DH pay anything towards rent/bills.

I’ve just had a bill just our gas usage alone which is close to 800 pound. That’s just from Jan this year to now! I am having a mini heart attack and absolutely dreading the electricity also! Our usual quarterly bills were around £700 for both (and even then I thought that was steep!)

Is this normal or should I be worried about a leak?!?

We pay £50 a month, so jan-now would be £200. We always have a bit left as a refund credit at the end of the year so would say £46 a month ish for both. 3 bed detached plus garage, heating on lot, no smart anything. No tumble dryer though (through choice - one built in but we don’t need it) we don’t actively budget, turn heating off a lot etc. Four people - 2 adults, 4yo, baby. Dishwasher etc on every night. Yours... wow. Seems a lot! We have a new(ish) build so good insulation but still..

£110 a month for both in a 4 bed new build with 5 of us. That includes a tumble dryer.

2 adults 3 children, 3 bed house in t'North. Around £120 a month, less in the summer. Heating, showers, tumble dryer and WFH screens on most of the day.

Should add that we only moved in in winter, so no summer comparison.
