Do your DC wear clean (matching optional) PJs every night?

I'm a little bit ott about it but for me they have to match and must be fresh every night but after another thread about laundry and a discussion with DP apparently I'm weird??

YABU ... You can wear PJs for a few nights (shudder)

YANBU ... clean, fresh, matching PJs every night!

@thebillyotea

Mate, when people use water freely for the swimming/ paddling pool, watering their garden, washing their cars, the frequency of my laundry is none of your business

and you won't convince me to re-wear underwear or nightwear!

There's always a ridiculous poster on these threads.

Yes, and that ridiculous poster is you. There is a growing water shortage and the UK will start run out of water in about 20 years unless the public -that’s you- start to take it seriously.
EvilOnion · 11/04/2021 11:38

Indeed @thebillyotea. I'm glad you've acknowledged your ridiculous stance.

Care to quote or direct us to the post(s) where anyone has suggested wearing underwear for more than one day?

Just the one pointer will do, if you can...

thebillyotea · 11/04/2021 11:40

daisypond
thankfully people like you who stop doing laundry are helping the rest of us then.

My kids have all been to their clubs this morning, I already have a full load to wash on top of my daily load Grin

You should be grateful I use a machine instead of wasting water washing by hand.

If you wear underwear during the day, and nightwear at night... what exactly is the difference?

You didn't get the point, did you....

thebillyotea · 11/04/2021 11:42

I bet you are one of these people who wear new clothes before washing them first too, or sleep in beddings without washing them.

Some people really are grim.

EvilOnion · 11/04/2021 11:43

Ah, I thought as much.

Snippy little remarks to deflect.

Carry on "mate" - maybe think about taking a break. You sound absolutely hysterical 😂

interesting post from someone so bothered about other people laundry about. I love how these threads touch nerves with some posters so badly Grin

yes dear, giving clean pjs to my kids every evening means I am on a wind up. You keep telling yourself that.
HercwasanEnemyofEducation · 11/04/2021 11:48

Your shitty comments mean you're on the wind up.

EvilOnion · 11/04/2021 11:48

@HercwasanEnemyofEducation, I was thinking that myself. Clearly a bit of this going on...

EvilOnion · 11/04/2021 11:50

@thebillyotea no worries 👍

inappropriateraspberry · 11/04/2021 11:51

I wear brand new clothes without washing them, I wear clothes several times before washing them. I'll even spot clean clothes if I can. One little mark doesn't mean the whole item is filthy. I shower every 2 or 3 days. Am I dirty, smelly and filthy? No. I am clean. I do not live in a hovel and I don't smell.
This is the middle ground. You don't have to live in a sterile environment, wearing freshly washed clothes every day to be clean.
I wear my knickers under my pyjamas. They get washed but not the the pjs.
I hate wearing pj bottoms without knickers - the seams can rub and irritate, does no one else suffer with this?

HercwasanEnemyofEducation · 11/04/2021 11:57

I take pj bottoms off to sleep in due to the crease issue.

I wash my car once a year, watch Billy's reaction to that. I also wash my hair every 3 days, mainly cus I can't be arsed and it looks fine.

wow

when people get so agitated about laundry, you have to wonder how to react about real issues Grin

why do you think anyone cares? Not everybody take your choices as a personal attack.

I think the nasty comments against people who make different choices are funny, even funnier when haters get offended when someone replies to their insults 😂

I don't wear pjs, but DSSs (sweaty teenagers) get their's washed about once a week, along with their bedding.

Despite what we read on here, this is about par for the course... In the real world!

thebillyotea · 11/04/2021 12:10

You can't call people ridiculous, hysterical and so on because they prefer fresh clothes, and then complain they reply.... If you feel the need to become personal, insulting and abusive, expect them to point out how wrong you are. And dirty.

HercwasanEnemyofEducation · 11/04/2021 12:16

I can do what I like 👋

Woeismethischristmas · 11/04/2021 12:22

I frequently tell the dc they can wear pjs for more than one night also clothes like hoodies can be worn again. It all gets thrown in the laundry regardless.

vdbfamily · 11/04/2021 12:49

I am in my 50's and this week, discovered for the first time that some people wash new clothes before wearing them, when my 18 year old put on a wash of new clothes!

Cassilis · 11/04/2021 12:53

That I can understand as some people are allergic to new clothes (factory chemicals). I wash new bedding and towels. And if I did wash new clothes, I would wash them individually on a hand wash setting on cool.

But my jammies get washed once a week in winter. In summer maybe twice a week, more often if it’s really hot.

HeyGirlHeyBoy · 11/04/2021 13:13

Washing new clothes before wearing them? Huh? Confused
