Do your DC wear clean (matching optional) PJs every night?

I'm a little bit ott about it but for me they have to match and must be fresh every night but after another thread about laundry and a discussion with DP apparently I'm weird??

YABU ... You can wear PJs for a few nights (shudder)

YANBU ... clean, fresh, matching PJs every night!

I love these threads, when posters feel so miffed and attacked they start to abuse anyone who doesn't agree 😂

Why do you care so much that someone else chose to have fresh underwear and fresh nightwear daily? The OP just asked a question, it's fabulous it has to turn into a bun fight.

HercwasanEnemyofEducation · 10/04/2021 18:12

I haven't attacked anyone. You just enjoy being rude to people about your ridiculous "hygiene" levels. Go scrub a floor or something.

thebillyotea · 10/04/2021 18:15

and more insults.. proves my point Wink

HercwasanEnemyofEducation · 10/04/2021 18:16

The only insult.

Titsywoo · 10/04/2021 18:16

I think they wore clean ones every night as kids but they were both terrible bedwetters. If they hadn't and wore underwear I'm sure I would have reused them. They are teens now and I'm pretty sure they both sleep naked so PJs are just loungewear in our house!

thebillyotea · 10/04/2021 18:17

These threads should be moved to the feminist corner 😂

Titsywoo · 10/04/2021 18:19

Oh yes. To air or not to air the vajayjay at night?

You should always air the vajayjay! Grin

HercwasanEnemyofEducation · 10/04/2021 18:20

A vajayjay without air is a mouldy thing.

ForestYeti · 10/04/2021 18:36

Mine & myself have always worn fresh every night same as fresh clothes every day

CalicoKate · 10/04/2021 18:38

None of us are bedwetters so we rewear Pjs
SmileWink

CalicoKate · 10/04/2021 18:43

I've come to the thread late but has anyone said they rewear underwear or travel on public transport in dirty pjs? Or has that been added in as a straw man argument?

champions55 · 10/04/2021 18:51

Before the kids I used to change them everyday or nearly everyday. Now there far too much washing with 2 adults 2 kids to be washing 7 pairs of pjs a week so I usuallly do every second day so long as they still seem clean

champions55 · 10/04/2021 18:52

Oh I see u meant kids lol. I've just started reusing the 4yr olds and changing every second night but sometimes I do change them every night if she's not getting in to clothes as soon as she's up.

scrivette · 10/04/2021 18:55

No one has clean ones every night - far too much washing. They have to be matching though!

transformandriseup · 10/04/2021 18:58

We all change pyjamas twice a week as there would be a lot of washing otherwise and we don't have a tumble dryers

Growing up our pyjamas were changed when the bedsheets were washed.

HeyGirlHeyBoy · 10/04/2021 19:52

Absolutely Calico. No, nobody had said that. Hmm

MintLampShade · 10/04/2021 22:26

It doesn't have to be at night though, right? 😂 I can't sleep without (a clean) underwear and a nice hot shower!

As for my nighties, I'll rewear them a couple of times. I mean I'm freshly washed when I put it on so I assume that puts me in the "fairly hygienic" group? DS will wear clean ones every night. Can't let his standards drop, can I? 🤣

FedUp1984 · 10/04/2021 22:50

I bath my 5yr old every other night (unless she's dirty/salty/sandy/suncreamy inbetween, which is often the case in warmer months).
She has clean matching PJ's after each bath. I didn't realise non matching PJ's for kids was a thing.
I literally just wear pants to bed, which obviously are clean every day, but never ironed.

I can't imagine having to wash 49 pairs of pyjamas every week without fail... But then again, you have everything 7 times more children than me so I suppose it's no different to making 7 breakfasts daily, or 7 packed lunches etc. I feel exhausted just thinking about it.

Pleasegodgotosleep · 10/04/2021 22:51

2 kids 5 and 2.5. Clean matching pjs every night (for me too). But according the MN I'm a filthy slatern because I only change the beds every other week instead of every week 🙃

LuckyAmy1986 · 11/04/2021 08:50

There's no lack of water in this country, so showers and laundry are fine

Shock
KNain · 11/04/2021 09:19

Mine are 2 and 5, clean PJs every night (although both mine always seem to spill weetabix down them every morning, so couldn't wear them for more than 1 night anyway!)

The 2 year old's match, because I choose them. The 5 year old's don't, but that's because he doesn't like matching (he always wears odd socks too) so obviously I'm going to let him wear mismatched.

thebillyotea · 11/04/2021 11:19

If nothing else, we got too much water and regular floods!
Shame we can't find a system to send our excess to Australia when they need it, but that's science fiction.

TheSmallAssassin · 11/04/2021 11:28

@thebillyotea Water doesn't just fall out of the sky and into our taps, you know.

You are on a wind-up, surely??
thebillyotea · 11/04/2021 11:33

Mate, when people use water freely for the swimming/ paddling pool, watering their garden, washing their cars, the frequency of my laundry is none of your business

and you won't convince me to re-wear underwear or nightwear!

There's always a ridiculous poster on these threads.
