I wish I thought they would manage to do it, but I am unconvinced that they can.

TheNorthWestPawsage · 15/04/2021 22:36

What exactly is Jim Jordan good for? Has he ever had an original thought in his head? Does he have any friends? Questions with no answers.

Maxine Waters tells Jim Jordan to 'shut your mouth' after GOP congressman feuds with Fauci.

I've decided that "You need to respect the Chair and shut your mouth" will be my new response to anybody that pisses me off.

I love Maxine Waters.

Roussette · 16/04/2021 07:48

I want to use that too! My kids will love it, must send them the footage.

Jim Jordan is a rude rude man.

lionheart · 16/04/2021 08:13

Good for her.

www.rawstory.com/capitol-police-2652593385/

'A new analysis from the Washington Post revealed that over the course of 78 minutes during the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol, police called for backup 17 times and were ignored.'

Roussette
Jim Jordan is a rude rude man

who doesn't know how to wear a face-mask.

When I hear the name, I always think "televangelist" before thinking, "Oh, no, he's a congressman, isn't he."

AskingQuestionsAllTheTime · 16/04/2021 11:45

He also apparently doesn't realise that being hospitalised involves a loss of liberty, and being seriously unwell for several months (or the rest of your life: nobody knows yet what long covid will do to people) involves a loss of liberty, and being dead involves a loss of liberty. Covid doesn't respect his first amendment right even slightly.

Roussette · 16/04/2021 12:11

He was absolutely bellowing at Dr. Fauci like it was his fault. Ranting and raving that people have put up with this for a year and what's he going to do about it, and people are fed up.
Fauci replied that 150,000 cases in a 24 hour period are too many and so Jordan chouts 'well give us a date then when it's going to get better'.
He obviously doesn't get it that we're in a pandemic

He must be as thick as two short planks.

DuncinToffee · 16/04/2021 13:32

Can they be more despicable?

Manu Raju @mkraju

Marjorie Taylor Greene and Lauren Boebert were the lone two members to vote against a bill that would reauthorize the National Marrow Donor Program, which matches bone marrow donors and cord blood units with patients who have leukemia and other diseases

The bill passed 415-2

DuncinToffee · 16/04/2021 13:34

And another mass shooting Sad

UPDATE from the FedEx facility mass shooting:

-8 people pronounced dead at the scene
-5 people transported to the hospital with gunshot wounds
-2 people received treatment at the scene.

AskingQuestionsAllTheTime · 16/04/2021 14:47

Dear God. You travelled from another state in order to shoot two unarmed people dead in the street, but "you've done nothing wrong".

AcrossthePond55 · 16/04/2021 17:23

Disgusting.

TheNorthWestPawsage · 16/04/2021 18:58

Every day. Some don't even make headlines. Meanwhile twats like Jim Jordan "play worry" about the 1st amendment.Sad

Anglo-Saxon is trending but not for any good reason.

The responses on twitter, 'I'm upholding Anglo-Saxon traditions ...' have been funny.

Roussette · 17/04/2021 07:23

Gosh their key points have me incredulous. No safety measures for any future pandemic 🤣🤣
I am shocked at some of it. White supremacists all of them.

I love Ted Lieu and his tweet is class

Ted Lieu
@tedlieu

, I’m planning on joining their Anglo-Saxon caucus so I could sit in their meetings because my mere presence as a non Aryan would scare them. I’m also going to eat chow mein with churros as dessert just to annoy them. Want to join me?

Willing to reconsider decisions unlike the former guy. Even the Biden Administration will need a 'nudge' now and then.

That would be the America that was discovered first probably by the Vikings and then "officially" by the Portuguese? Confused

The America that was already populated with indigenous Americans? Hmm

TheNorthWestPawsage · 17/04/2021 08:50

Will Biden have any influence on future direction?

Raúl Castro steps down as Cuban Communist Party leader.

While the entire island knew this moment was coming, it was no less historic or symbolic when it arrived: Cuba will be officially governed by someone other than a Castro for the first time since 1959.
www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-latin-america-56780903

Apparently not...
One thing is for sure, Raúl Castro's words of keeping "one foot in the stirrup" means he will remain a powerbroker behind the scenes. And by reiterating the island's eternal commitment to socialism it means that political change remains as unlikely under his successor as it was under his late brother, Fidel.
