What that is saying, in effect, is that either Trump knew what was being done and is guilty, or he didn't and is not fit for purpose.

It's the Nixon bind: either Nixon knew what his underlings were up to and was not fit to continue as President, or he didn't and because he didn't was not fit to continue as President.

My heart ached for that doctor.

My BFF's friend (exBF, but they've remained friends) has finally gotten his first jab. She's been after him to do it since the vaccines were available and he 'pooh pooh-ed' and made fun of her over being 'gullible' and believing the 'propaganda'. In fact his covid denial and vaccine refusal were some of the main reasons they broke up (there were definitely others). She wouldn't have him around her because he refused to wear a mask, treated her like 'a silly little girl', and refused the vaccine when they became eligible. But he's useful at DIY so she keeps him around as he thinks he'll 'odd job' his way back into her life. Who's the gullible one now?

What changed his mind? A good friend of his is in hospital and on a ventilator.

The June 30, 2021 letter from the FBI Office of Congressional Affairs revealed new information on the Kavanaugh investigation: that Justice Kavanaugh’s nomination “was the first time that the FBI set-up a tip line for a nominee undergoing Senate confirmation,” and that tip line received “over 4,500 tips, including phone calls and electronic submissions.” The FBI apparently pursued none of these tips. Instead, by the FBI’s own account, it merely “provided all relevant tips” to Trump’s Office of White House Counsel, the very office that had constrained and directed the limited investigation.'

'CHICAGO (WLS) -- New video obtained tonight by the ABC7 I-Team shows accused Michigan militiamen in live-fire training, according to federal prosecutors. Prosecutors have charged the men in an alleged scheme to kidnap and possibly kill Michigan governor Gretchen Whitmer.

Front and center in the alleged plot to kidnap Gov. Whitmer at gunpoint was a man named Barry Croft, who is seen carrying one flag of the Boogaloo Bois, a far-right anti-government movement. Croft is in photos and on video obtained by the I-Team that prosecutors say shows him and other in live assault weapons training-preparing for a violent assault on the Michigan governor's summer home.'

I always rather hope that wannabe goons who indulge in live-fire training with a view to illegal behaviour with guns will get fatally shot in the process, either with their own gun by accident or by one of their little chums probably by accident.

I am finding the Kavanaugh stuff fascinatingly horrendous. We all knew at the time it was a whitewash what this man is like. I want the truth to come out.
I just remember his impassive wife sat in the hearings, him shrieking, blubbing, shouting and making a complete spectacle of himself. And thinking there is no way this man is going to be confirmed as a SC judge.
And then he was.

And now 4,500 tips about him. And all his debts paid off.

Let there be justice on this

(Wish I could read that daily beast article. It's now paywalled, used to be able to)
