Do we think the rattan stuff is actually in stock and going to be listed today??

Sparklingbrook - I guess people seeing other items for sale, or trying again next time.

The hot tubs seem to have more stock than the chairs anyway, so don’t think everything is as extremely limited.

Sparklingbrook · 04/04/2021 08:58

@TheQueef

Exactly what I wondered Sparkling They must prefer the hype to actual cash. The German site has more variety but that sells out fast too. They had an idea of demand from last year so no excuse.
I feel like I'm being a bit thick. Grin DSs were both heavily involved in the PS5 debacle last year and I didn't understand it at all. Hardly anyone got one, it was as if Sony didn't want anyone to manage it. DS2 still hasn't and he's not bothered about one now-not good business.

@BakedTattie

Are the egg chairs in stores today?

In Scotland all shops are open. Not sure why they wouldn’t be cause it’s Easter?

Same reason they’re closed on Christmas Day, in England and Wales.
GlitterNails · 04/04/2021 08:59

KrinklyBottom - no it didn’t, sorry. I had more luck opening new tabs and refreshing. Sometimes it kicked me back in the queue but I kept trying and it let me do it step by step.

I did read last time they had it it took a week to sell out, so don’t panic too much! Fingers crossed for you.

BigPaperBag · 04/04/2021 08:59

I wonder who was number one?

AWamBamBoom · 04/04/2021 08:59

I'd just like to say sorry to all of you. I clicked on to see what the fuss was about and its automatically added me to the queue 😳

Sansaplans · 04/04/2021 09:00

I guess it gets people to the website, no doubt many who have been queuing for ages might go back to the tab later and have a look anyway, and in the days up to the sale. Like loss leaders in supermarkets.

KrinklyBottom · 04/04/2021 09:00

The CoE bishops in the House of Lords wielded their influence and got Easter Sunday tied down with restrictions so larger shops and garden centres aren’t allowed to open in England.

A lovely example of Christian privilege at its finest

Benjispruce2 · 04/04/2021 09:01

Aren’t they closed today?

April88 · 04/04/2021 09:02

I got an egg chair! Was in the queue at 5am (early waker) and once in (about half 5) just clicked around the website until they loaded at 8am

Yes I guess so but they can't look at anything because queue. If you didn't want a hot tub/rattan furniture/egg chair then you're stuffed.

Maybe they should have a separate site for this stuff?

Benjispruce2 · 04/04/2021 09:02

Oh.... a virtual queue!

Sansaplans · 04/04/2021 09:03

It's great they're not allowed to open imo. Even if someone isnt religious, it's nice in retail to get a bank holiday off when your family and friends are likely to be off. It's only 2 days a year.

How much do you want for it Easter Angry ?
Sansaplans · 04/04/2021 09:04

Yes I agree @Sparklingbrook, I went to Amazon instead as haven't seen any of what I wanted locally or anywhere else except for Aldi and Amazon, so took my pennies to them instead. Not that Aldi are arsed before anyone says haha!

Caaarrrl · 04/04/2021 09:06

I've been in the queue for ages! Wanted two sets of rattan sofas but they've sold out!

KrinklyBottom · 04/04/2021 09:08

Got a hot tub yay. So excited, I've wanted one for ages Grin

ThatsShitTryHarder · 04/04/2021 09:09

I’m sure this strategy just creates a perceived need for things and makes people more materialistic by ensuring the products are almost impossible to acquire?

It’s such a cynical ploy, I’m amazed people are so susceptible to being manipulated in this way.

QueenCuntyFlippers · 04/04/2021 09:12

There's no queue now Smile

HadEnoughOfBears · 04/04/2021 09:12

@gerispringer

You’ll be a long time in the queue as if you are in the U.K. shops are shut today ( Easter Sunday).
Incorrect
itsgettingwierd · 04/04/2021 09:12

@gerispringer

Ooops I didn’t realise you meant online queue!
Grin

Took me a while to realise too 🤦🏼‍♀️🤣

It does make me wonder. It's obviously a business strategy of some sort.

People want things more when they are cheap but super difficult to obtain?
