I'm almost 200,000th in the queue! But it says the egg chairs have sold out, and that's what I wanted

Even the DE site is OOS.

I look at the special buys quite regularly, how do you know in advance what will be released?
Anyway just clicked to have a look at what you were talking about and noticed this at the bottom of the page.

They’re listed as ‘coming soon’ on the website, and they have special buys brochures for the following month or so in store.

Thanks ThanksItHasPockets, I've seen the coming soon but they are greyed out and you can't see what they are. But the inshore brochure makes sense, I never pick it up anymore as I look at them online.

They aren't shut here. Must be an English,Welsh and or Northern Irish thing.

I'm in the virtual queue too. Patio heaters are now oos but I'm hoping for a rattan sofa. Over 50,000 ahead of me so I'm not holding out much hope!

I was in queue from midnight. Waited an hour, still in queue so gave up. Tried again this morning, got in quickly but no rattan sofa. Annoyed!

I wanted one of the planters, but couldn't be arsed, will just see if it's in stock later as I don't think it's an in demand item. There used to be an easy way to bypass the queue it system but you can't now, which is fairer in honesty but boo. I know they're cheaper than elsewhere, but what's the hype on the egg chairs? My friend is 5'11 and doesn't fit in hers comfortably but still queued last time online for bloody hours refreshing and was over the moon to get one and goes on about it all the time! It arrived with the box split open and part of the back unthreaded too.

I really don't understand this. It's like the PS5 debacle all over again. Is it a one day only deal or something? It seems a bit of a waste of time.

The egg chairs sold out in 3 minutes - i couldn’t refresh fast enough.

Very limited stock Sparkling and the items cost around half of other brands but you can return easier.
Third time I've tried to buy (had a V. Good lent too, didn't help) I wish I'd never sat down in the shitty thing now.

Do Aldi do this a lot? I thought special buys was just the square of weird stuff in the middle of the shop.

What's in it for Aldi? Publicity? if there's limited stock there's going to be a lot of disappointment.

I managed to get a hot tub. I had an Intex one from them a few years ago in the sale and it’s great for my chronic pain. I much preferred it to the Lay Z Spa one but I’ve struggled to find another Intex and am so glad they did they deal again this year after not doing it last year for obvious reasons.

I wish they’d said what time they were releasing things though - I’ve been checking for hours and then going back to sleep. Going to be shattered!

The supermarkets are closed here (England) on Easter Sunday, but the little shops are open.

Exactly what I wondered Sparkling
They must prefer the hype to actual cash.
The German site has more variety but that sells out fast too.
They had an idea of demand from last year so no excuse.
