Am I the only one to hate them?

Amelia-Rose or Lily-Mae etc. They’re everywhere. Someone I know recently revealed the name of their daughter and she was called similar to Amelia-Rose Mya Charlotte Smith, why so many god damn names for one kid.

I’ve also recently discovered double barrelled boys name are a thing like Charlie-James. I think I hate these more.

Please vote away and let me know if I’m unhinged.

@Therunecaster

My sister once told me that I called my daughter a chavvy name. She said you don't hear of many Jades going to university. It fair broke my heart. Took me years of doubt before I didn't feel guilty about the name I'd given her. My sister felt crap about it as well when she realised I was upset.
That's horrible and sad at the same time. Horrible to say to a sibling & niece, and sad that she couldn't foresee a bright future for her own niece. Btw, I went to uni with a Jade and she was really lovely 😊

I have a hyphenated first name AND I ensure it is used. So shoot me.

But remember that people often have these names for a specific reason. In my case, I added and hyphenated the second name by deed poll in memory of a very close relative who committed suicide.

Like I say - so shoot me.

It's very fashionable now but most children get called by their first name.
Double-barrelled first names are the new names to go out of fashion very quickly as it's too popular now.
Roll on Gladys and Ernest.

My child has five middle names and a double-barrelled surname. 🤷🏻‍♀️
