Overdoing salt in sweet (salted caramel, salted chocolate etc). Obviously it will still be around just not every-sodding-where. Likewise sourdough being treated as the only good bread.

Having wallpaper on just one wall.

Massive brows.

Instagram accounts that are about cleaning.

Self proclaimed "Influencers" I hope

Divebar2021 · 26/03/2021 16:13

Sneering at other peoples taste? Oh no.... always in fashion.

NotSorry · 26/03/2021 16:13

@Chanjer

I think it's already well on the way out but prosecco. It's a (mostly) cheap alternative to champagne because it's shit
Agree - about 20 odd years ago it was Cava - also shit
CleverCatty · 26/03/2021 16:14

@Spied

The grey hair look on those under 40.
I've seen several much younger women with grey hair - from behind - have assumed it's a little old lady in front and been shocked to see it's someone considerably younger!

@Iremembertheelderlykoreanlady

What about shitipoos? Can they fuck off? (Along with all the other ridiculous made up names?)

Hopefully the trend of paying £000s for a crossbreed/mongrel just because it has one of said ridiculous names

I do think chiweewees and ratapoos will be fucking off soon enough. Many will be abandoned by owners when they become last season's accessory. They will be replaced by handbags.

Pooh and Piglet memes

Stencilled lettering on walls or ornaments instructing you what to do in that room e.g. COOK, EAT, SOAK, BATH, SHIT etc

Elasticated waists (though I will continue to wear them!)

Hhusky · 26/03/2021 16:24

"My plumber came round yesterday to quote for our new ensuite. He asked what colour units were were having (not grey) and he said “well thank fuck for that”
(I do know him very well by the way)"

I laughed out loud at this!

That can happen in reverse.
I remember when my son was a teenager he and his friends were shocked to find that the long haired 'hottie' they'd noticed was in fact, when she turned roynd, an eldeely neighbour in her 70s.
I think the poor love was traumatised as she looked young from behind!
There are lots of women with long lockdown hair who look youthful from behind and it's a shock to see they're not that young when they turn around.
I expect we associate grey hair with being older and
Long hair with being younger.

BluebellsGreenbells · 26/03/2021 16:31

Eyebrows
See through dresses with big knickers
Annoying fiddle toys
You tubers

Can I put Covid? Hand sanitizer, masks, staying at home, etc etc

whetherpigshavewings · 26/03/2021 16:32

Fashion changes, so of course skinny jeans/ high waisted / dungarees/ tiered dresses will go away

so will ridiculous eyebrows

grey/ navy will make a house look old and owners will waste a lot of money.

I think chelsea tractors will become embarrassing at some point, it might take longer than 5 years.

cake smash/ balloon archs/ sleepover tents/ outdoor cinema parties will be cringey in less than 5 years

Poptart4 · 26/03/2021 16:34

"Drinking is unfashionable " seriously Hmm

Good thing I dont care about fashion.

Alcohol has been around for thousands of years, I highly doubt it will be gone in the next 5 yrs Confused

Chubbaibu · 26/03/2021 16:34

Hopefully covid, but hopefully before five years.
Fake Grass
Crop Tops
See through Leggings (hopefully legging altogether)
Jeggings
Petrol Cars

Tarantallegra · 26/03/2021 16:36

My hairdresser was super on trend when they were open and everyone left with sharp, straight cut hair. It suits some people but when I'm paying that much for a cut I want something that suits my face shape not what's on trend. I changed hairdressers as they tried forcing it on me when my hair is so thin it needs layers and shaping!

Crankley · 26/03/2021 16:36

Anything Woke
Social media
Selfies
Self obsession
Remainers whining about Brexit.
Influencers being followed - seems so childish.
Not disciplining children so they grow into hideous adults
People who spend thousands buying a mongrel (cross breed)
Fish lips such as:

Tarantallegra · 26/03/2021 16:38

Stencilled lettering on walls or ornaments instructing you what to do in that room e.g. COOK, EAT, SOAK, BATH, SHIT etc

I have to say I don't think having giant "SHIT" lettering will go out of style, I can absolutely get on board with that one

whetherpigshavewings · 26/03/2021 16:40

Remainers whining about Brexit.

if you think the effect of Brexit will have completely gone in 5 years, you might be a tad over-optimistic...
