AIBU to hate mums who turn up to drop off kids in pyjamas?

Mainly because these are the same ones who are also usually swearing in public and shouting down their mobile phones, and/or their kids.

@Flowers24

Better to teach them self respect that you dress for the occasion?
You think someone wearing pyjamas outside can't respect themselves?
Flowers24 · 24/03/2021 21:06

It's just not respectfull but that's my own view, standards have seriously slipped?

RootyT00t · 24/03/2021 21:08

@Kimye4eva

Wow, they genuinely sell PJs as leisurewear. I guess I shouldn’t be surprised based on the average Primark shopper.
🤣 and what's that ?

Respectful to who?
blackheartsgirl · 24/03/2021 21:12

I've dropped the kids off in pj's once or twice.

I've never ever got out of the car though. Just lobbed them out the car in the direction of the school gates and driven off home again.

Disclaimer...ones 10 and ones 13..not littleies

Nestlyn · 24/03/2021 21:22

I have never seen anyone in pyjamas at our school in ten years. I think it's an urban myth.

LindaEllen · 24/03/2021 21:26

It literally doesn't affect you. So yes, YABU.

Kimye4eva · 24/03/2021 21:40

Oh you know @RootyT00t, the kind of person who thinks it’s acceptable to go out in their PJs, probably swears a lot, is generally pretty vulgar and loud and most likely lives on a council estate. Wink

Kimye4eva · 24/03/2021 21:42

I think the most interesting thing about this thread (if it’s all true, I’ve never seen anyone out and about in sleepwear) is there are plenty of people who apparently don’t care if other people think they are lazy and don’t wash (because as shown on here, some people do think it’s a sign of laziness and not washing).

CuthbertDibbleandGrubb · 24/03/2021 21:42

How many of those wearing pyjamas have still found time to cake themselves in excessive amounts of make-up?

Oh .

I got 3/5.
Do I get a badge?

Correct. We don't give a hoot.

Amazing eh. Imagine not caring what random strangers think of you.

Who cares if someone they don't even know thinks that they are lazy because of what they are wearing?
PurpleRainDancer · 24/03/2021 21:47

Give over OP

Shitfuckcommaetc · 24/03/2021 21:48

I've dropped my kids in pyjamas before, mostly only after finishing a 12 hour night shift.

You might also say that there are plenty of people who apparently don't care that other people think they are judgmental twats (because as shown on here, some people do think it's a sign of being judgmental)

Thats a generalisation...and not the point i am trying to make. My best friend lived in a council flat for 18 years, but when ever I/you visited their house, you'd realise that their family and parents were very hardworking, religious, and swearing was definately not accepted.

I dont know why people are linking the 2 together?

Ooh OP you're a naughty one. You know what you started.

SomethingElse2 · 24/03/2021 21:52

Have you got nothing else to worry about?

Grrrr....

I dislike people in pyjamas in public. Thats honestly as far as my vendetta goes. Grin

The fact that the same people tend to be loud and swear is also something that I've noticed and it annoys me, which is why i pointed it out in my opening post.

But theres nothing deeper than that.

What other people think of me is none of my damn business.
MiscUser9823 · 24/03/2021 22:02

Okay, goodnight all. Now I will change into my pyjamas and go to sleep. Smile

Before waking up tommorow and getting changed out of them in the morning Grin

I don hate parents that do this (for me I form like/dislike on the person as a whole not what they wear), however, turning up to school in pyjamas in my opinion is just lazy, not a great impression to set for themselves or their children. As for swearing, parents shouldn't be allowed to swear at or around school premises

the big issues hey OP
