If I don't laugh at myself I'll probably cry.

I had my hair done in October 2019 with the idea of getting it done again in early spring 2020 ready for the summer, well that didn't plan out obviously and now another 12 months have passed and I look like Brian May.
Anti-frizz serum is useless at this point.

Tell me I'm not the only person who looks ridiculous.

I'm currently rocking a Henry V fringe in various shades of grey.

Iwantacookie · 22/03/2021 16:51

Pixie crop here.
I look like I should be singing yellow submarine in a liverpudlian accent Blush
Havent had a cut this year, am booked in for 9am on the 12th though.

GoLightlyontheEarth · 22/03/2021 16:53

@CausingChaos2

Mine is not as awful as it could be but is driving me mad- lots of split ends that need sorting. I have fine hair so it’s more noticeable. Anyone in the public eye e.g. newsreaders have been allowed to carry on having treatments 🤨
Have they? I’ve noticed they all have awful roots and their hair looks very tatty.
Judystilldreamsofhorses · 22/03/2021 17:00

Mine isn't too bad - it's normally a sharp bob with a blunt fringe. Now a less sharp bob, but even my hairdresser said I've done a good job on the fringe. I'm booked in on 5 April (Scotland) and will be bringing him a bottle of wine.

JessCat75 · 22/03/2021 17:03

Looks more like a lion's mane right now

MissMogwai · 22/03/2021 17:05

Mine's a mess. I had a balayage done in November and a fringe cut back in as I was sick of seeing my giant moon face on teams calls. It looked gorgeous.

4 months on I look like The Trunchbull from Matilda, as it's in a harsh bun every day. Fringe is mad so pinned back, split ends the lot 😩

I'm booked in for 28th April and I can't wait.

MadameTuffington · 22/03/2021 17:07

Fucking awful - I have short naturally curly, highlighted hair and I currently resemble a mixture of skunk and ageing Michael Hutchence due to shitty DIY cut & dye 😂

ifIwerenotanandroid · 22/03/2021 17:08

Haven't been to the salon for a year, but I've been cutting the fringe myself. I also learnt to cut DH's hair during lockdown.

I was growing a layer out anyway, & now my hair's long enough that it could be cut to one length & still be long - so it's frustrating not to be able to get that done.

minipie · 22/03/2021 17:10

@JovialNickname

Mine looks like shit... my natural limp, greasy, dark brown hair down to my ears with frizzy blonde at the ends. Still at least I can pull it over my face to cover all the spots.
This is also me!!
listsandbudgets · 22/03/2021 17:12

Dreadful. Long and lank and getting fluffier by the day as the ends split

greeneyedlulu · 22/03/2021 17:22

Ever so slightly unevenly cut, I did it myself and its a tad wonky Blush but you can't tell when its in a ponytail

SimonJT · 22/03/2021 17:38

Mine is really long, I haven’t had it cut until we decided to get married and it won’t be cut until our first anniversary, so another 13 months. I have it in a joora knot most of the time to keep it neat. The sides aren’t long enough to go into the knot so when I want to look presentable I blowdry and wear my hair down.

fibeee · 22/03/2021 17:46

Like a mop. My grey hairs also seem to have doubled since having a baby last year. Hair is also starting to grow back after postpartum hair loss so I’ve baby hairs sticking out and up everywhere.

PinkSparklyPussyCat · 22/03/2021 18:04

It looks ok if you're short sighted and standing a long way away, close up it's one mass of split ends and white roots. I got fed up with straightening it so I decided to go back to my natural curly hair. After doing a Teams call looking like David Coverdale from Whitesnake in the mid eighties I got the straighteners out again!

MadMadMadamMim · 22/03/2021 18:09

It needs a cut, but actually it's in really good condition.

This is because after decades of dyeing it I decided to grow my grey out about 3 years ago.

It's now a white pixie cut (or was) and because I had it severely cropped in December it's not really too bad.

Potterythrowdown · 22/03/2021 18:23

Horrendous. Last cut in September and I'm now in the midst of the great post baby hair shed so falling out in clumps and permanently in a pony tail.

dannydyerismydad · 22/03/2021 18:30

I thought Ozzy Osbourne had crashed our team zoom call last week. Then realised it was me.

It's not good.

muddyford · 22/03/2021 18:31

Single neighbour did amazing job on the back of my hair last weekend. We had a haircare bubble in my front garden. Then I did the front. If my hairdresser mentions Brother Caedfael I shall walk out.

Doingitaloneandproud · 22/03/2021 18:34

Grey. It gets grey at the front, my friends gets her greys underneath... why can't my hair be like that 😭
It's long and lost it's shape, luckily I have YouTubed cutting in the side fringe and cut mine back in, that doesn't look too bad but not a chance I'll do the rest 😂

honeylulu · 22/03/2021 18:38

It looks OK. Very long, straight and untrimmed/split ends. Very similar to my student years. Unfortunately it doesn't match my 46 year old face.

Notreallyhappy · 22/03/2021 18:39

An outgrown inverted Bob that looks greasy as f and scraggy on the back.

Buy some yogi bed he'd anti frizz serum.off Amazon..that will.sort you out.

LongIslandIcedT · 22/03/2021 18:39

Awful. I love my hairdresser though, she's been delivering freshly mixed salon dyes and treatments for us to do our roots at home. The ends are a freaking mess though.

lachy · 22/03/2021 18:40

I can't even remember when I last had my hair cut and coloured in a hairdressers. I did a box colour before Christmas and was going to cut it, but couldn't find my scissors.

It's not in bad condition, it's naturally wavy, but it's greyer than I'd realised!

Crazydogmumma · 22/03/2021 18:41

I have just discovered a root touch up spray - I now spray my grey roots after each wash and you can’t tell the difference - particularly whilst we have to stay 2m apart- shame I cut the front with nail scissors so have a resemblance to worzel Gummahe Grin

NoBetterthanSheShouldBe · 22/03/2021 18:41

I began the pandemic with short curly hair. Now I aspire to look like Charlotte Rampling around 2012.
If I wash and dry my hair in a consistent way - sometimes it’s close to that idea, sometimes more like the Hobbit, sometimes a bit like a mullet.

I don’t plan my outfit until my hair has decided what sort of a day it will be.
