I have a birthday coming up and I can't think of a goddam thing that I want (besides my freedom!) and I am being quizzed by my siblings and parents. I'm 34, have 2 small children (3 and under). No special hobbies (atleast no time anyway)

So what have you brought recently that I may also love 😍

Gorgeous essential oil diffuser from Oliver Bonas. Childishly pleased that it featured in today's Sali Hughes column in the guardian!

SchrodingersImmigrant · 13/03/2021 18:56

I got myself an illustration from local young lad (17 and smashing it😱). I like pretty things around me

I already hinted few others I like to my DH for my birthday 🙈

A beautiful handmade polished seaglass necklace and a Boss dress watch. It's my 40th this week Smile

imovethestarsforno1 · 13/03/2021 18:57

my birthday is in two weeks my husband has bought me an ooddie i know this because it arrived in a parcel with oodie all over it i am very excited for no more freezing cold trips to the garden with star pup. He also got me a soda stream for christmas and one year he got me a coffe percolator. These gifts make up for the very first birthday gift he got me of a marmite branded flask "because you really like marmite"

Cornishmumofone · 13/03/2021 19:01

Some good quality hon mirin for Japanese cookery.

Ilovemaisie · 13/03/2021 19:01

A fleece/fluffy quilt cover. It's marvellous. It's like sleeping in a cloud.

sunnydaleslayer · 13/03/2021 19:02

No. 7 skincare set.

Lemonyfuckit · 13/03/2021 19:03

I asked for some money to put towards a spa day (ie for when we can actually do things again...). It felt ever so slightly meh on my actual birthday not having any 'thing' but to be fair that's what I asked for - I couldn't really think of anything thing I wanted, have got enough 'stuff' but my goodness a day at a spa relaxing and getting a massage will be amazing when that is possible.

Sparklesocks · 13/03/2021 19:05

A really fancy purse

elizabethdraper · 13/03/2021 19:05

Bath oil, house plants, nice bed linen.

Maximo1 · 13/03/2021 19:06

It was my birthday last week and was thoroughly spoiled by friends and family. Amongst other things I got a ghd hairdryer. It’s changed my life. I don’t have to even brush my hair and it looks so shiny. I love it

FromDespairToHere · 13/03/2021 19:06

Very middle aged of me but I got a soup maker for Christmas and I bloody love it!

GreeboIsMySpiritAnimal · 13/03/2021 19:11

An oversized cashmere cardigan that's just the warmest, snuggliest thing.

A beautiful handbag made from vintage kimonos.

Silk pyjamas - I bought these myself and felt guilty about spending so much on nightwear, then realised that the cost per wear amount was actually very low, because I wear pyjamas every night. Also they are just lovely to wear.

I'm think my next "treat" purchase will be a dressing gown from One Hundred Stars, for similar reasons.

HoopersHat · 13/03/2021 19:14

Birthday last week and husband brought me some silk pyjamas was a bit 🤨 about them but omg they are wonderful. If I could afford I would buy some myself some more

Mummysgonetobed · 13/03/2021 19:15

Some liz Earle products, an oil diffuser and some amazing quality bedding have been my most recent indulgences for myself. Also an Apple Watch but I’m a bit on the fence on whether I like that.

winniemum · 13/03/2021 19:20

My daughter bought me a National Geographic Atlas of the World! It’s big and it’s the most beautiful book I’ve ever owned.

This is a good thread for this sort of thing. I unfortunately spent a few quid off the back of reading it. I love my new Kinto unimugs!!

Proudboomer · 13/03/2021 19:31

Some pollen free lily bulbs.

TheBullfinch · 13/03/2021 19:38

Someone bought me some fudge from the Penny Lane Fudge Company for my birthday last month and oh my god it was delicious.

Minniem2020 · 13/03/2021 19:39

My DP got me a necklace with my kids names on for Xmas. Not a big in your face type but 2 small round silver plates with their names engraved on. I love it

itwaseverthus · 13/03/2021 19:42

I went a bit mad on The White Company and bought some 800 thread count sheets and a duvet cover. Also some jumbo size bath sheets which are a treat. So my bed time ritual is a lovely warm shower with NEOM shower oil then into a heavenly bed.

Spent hundreds and still can't get a decent night's sleep thanks to the cat mind you Grin

GertrudePerkinsPaperyThing · 13/03/2021 19:42

Vouchers for pyjamas from Cyberjammies - really nice PJs with buttons up the front.

Various selections of herbal teas - pukka or teapigs.

Neals Yard bath stuff in orangey type scents.

MojoJojo71 · 13/03/2021 19:45

I’ve just bought myself tickets to see Tim Minchin live in October, really looking forward to it
