I have a birthday coming up and I can't think of a goddam thing that I want (besides my freedom!) and I am being quizzed by my siblings and parents. I'm 34, have 2 small children (3 and under). No special hobbies (atleast no time anyway)

So what have you brought recently that I may also love 😍

Leopard skin Jimmy Choos. (Not real leopard) I've no where to wear them and will have to practice walking in them but they were half price and beautiful.

Dr who blu ray sets a new Dr who bag I’m also eyeing up but for the future yellow kitchen stuff for my birthday I can’t wait means I can splurge loads of new yellow stuff, don’t worry chocolate for me as well.

@123rd

santamonica - where is that from please ? Been trying to think of a nice present for a lovely friend and she lives for tea
Bird and Blend, not the cheapest but lovely teas and they do nice gift sets too.
SantaMonicaPier · 13/03/2021 22:48

Should clarify that it's a diffuser to sit above cups!

ItsMarch · 13/03/2021 22:53

Cashmere gloves, well worth it.

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 13/03/2021 22:56

Neom Organic Diffuser I saw recommended on here.

New Converse Grin

IndecentFeminist · 13/03/2021 22:58

A really lovely original Kadai firebowl. Haven't used it yet obviously!

A towelling hoodie from Rapanui for post swims at the beach.

thistimelastweek · 13/03/2021 22:59

A commissioned vase. Really beautiful and not outrageously expensive.

3CCC · 13/03/2021 23:08

A unique picture of DDog that BFF put thought into stalked social media for suitable photographs

Turnedouttoes · 13/03/2021 23:09

It’s my birthday coming up too. Last year DP had planned a spa break in a beautiful hotel plus dinner at a fancy restaurant which was obviously all cancelled due to Covid. For some reason he thought this exempted him from buying me an alternative present Hmm

I told him how disappointed I was last year so this year he has apparently gone to lots of effort and can’t wait to surprise me with it all. He hasn’t asked me for any ideas but if he had, I’d like -

Elemis cleansing balm
A gel home nail kit
Expensive bubble bath
Vouchers for new clothes
Olaplex shampoo & conditioner
Big fluffy dressing gown

areyoumeop · 13/03/2021 23:29

A huge fluffy oversized hoodie , like wearing a blanket with sleeves

imovethestarsforno1 · 14/03/2021 07:41

@ThisIsMyRing its a hoodie blanket combo thing so I can stand out waiting for the dog to pee first thing without freezing my nips off.

itstrue · 14/03/2021 07:52

A Cricut Maker - a machine that cuts anything from tissue paper to thin pieces of wood

I'm obsessed with making stuff with it!

EveryDayIsADuvetDay · 14/03/2021 08:09

A tealyra marbled teapot (and some of their amazing teas)
A weighted blanket

I had to google "oodie" - but tempted

StCharlotte · 14/03/2021 08:18

@Pbbananabagel

A projector for movie nights in the garden! I can hook it up to my chrome cast, so easy to use and we got loooads of use out of it until winter set in. Looking forward to getting it out again soon.
Technical question: can you listen with headphones?

(I still haven't forgiven our neighbours for subjecting us to Love Island every night a couple of years ago!)

HintOfVintagePink · 14/03/2021 08:29

Clarins beauty flash balm, kerastase shampoo and conditioner, YSL mascara and Dior glow lip balm. Even on days when I don’t have long to get ready, I feel pulled together and pampered. Oh and a lovely and inexpensive body mist I was given is one of my best things. It saves using my perfume too quickly. It’s just a Ted Baker one but it always cheers me up.
Lovely linen napkins or a thoughtful book are always good.

StCharlotte · 14/03/2021 08:45

For Christmas DH gave me a very generous voucher for a local boutique which sells the most gorgeous clothes. I just hope they survive lockdown Confused

I bought myself some perfume (Clinique Happy) recently for the first time in ages which has indeed made me happy.
