Hi!

I know, it's not meant for AIBU! But I need help and it's for my almost 2 year old so surely you can't hate me for asking? :)

She's in love with a primark bunny jumper that I bought her in December. She loves it so much.
We've even had to let her wear it to bed sometimes!

I've had to put it on for a wash today she misses it so much!

I know she probably won't be able to wear it for much longer. But I really need another one.

Obviously I've had a look on fb and eBay but no luck! Is there anywhere else I should check?

Help! I've attached a pic :)

If you feel the need to support a company whose supply chain includes sweatshop labour and deaths, then they re-open probably on April 12th.

You could just seek to get her to love something else.

CarriesFlower82 · 11/03/2021 19:09

Ahhhh I feel for you. Yes, Primark isn't ideal but I'm guilty of getting cheap kids clothes from their too - so no judgement from me! Also understand how attached to things toddlers can get so you have my sympathy there!

Unfortunately I can't help with the jumper. Have you tried local Facebook groups? Or could you even contact Primark to see if they still sell it? They may have stock left from December???

Oh for Gods sake.
Fuckadoodledoooo · 11/03/2021 19:11

Have you had a search on eBay?

There's always one 🙄

It's in the op.

FROM THERE!!! 🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️ Sorry rushing putting my toddlers to bed! Before some judgey MNer comes back to tell me I'm illiterate and contributing to sweatshop deaths.

Honestly such an uncalled for response. Primark is also not as bad as everyone thinks they have worked incredibly hard on their supply chain. Higher end shops are much much worse .

OP have you tried Facebook marketplace ?

Fuckadoodledoooo · 11/03/2021 19:14

@ShowOfHands ah yes. Sorry baby keeping me up all hours, I'm suprised I can remember how to unlock my phone some days Blush

Kwiksavenofrillsusername · 11/03/2021 19:19

Once the stores reopen you should pop in. You might get lucky, as they’ll be selling of all the old stock. They also sometimes reuse designs, as I got the same T-shirt two years in a row for DD.

purplecorkheart · 11/03/2021 19:24

I read an article that some people sell primark/pennys items on amazon. Depop and ebay may also be an option.

DialsMavis · 11/03/2021 19:25

@peak2021 please enlighten us as to where you shop to avoid sweatshops.

OP: as others have said the statement made by Primark that they will use last year's stock so as not to waste it will hopefully work in your favour Smile

ShowOfHands · 11/03/2021 19:36

@Fuckadoodledoooo I think having a baby gives you an excuse. I have no babies and no clue what day it is.

OwlinaTree · 11/03/2021 19:39

If you really can't find it you could cut the design out and see it to a larger size jumper to try to re create it.

OwlinaTree · 11/03/2021 19:39

Sew it not see it!

jobsagudden · 11/03/2021 19:42

Could you try emailing / tweeting primark customer service with the product code and seeing if they will help you out and save one for you?

Maybe be more responsive if they tweet and a good news story for them?

I've just had a look and still on the website so likely still in stock.

Ffs people buy what they can afford Peak stop being an arse.

SemperIdem · 11/03/2021 20:13

I was kind of expecting a comment like Peaks at some point but not the very first response 😂 What a smug, unnecessarily shitty response it is.

BunnyJumper · 11/03/2021 21:29

@peak2021 There's always one isn't there!
Thanks for NOT helping with my problem and being a judgemental arse.

Thank you to everyone else who's tried to help.
She's very attached, and I have of course tried to get her to love something else but this jumper is the chosen one for now anyway.

I will try contacting Primark directly. That's a good suggestion!
I've been keeping an eye out on fb marketplace and eBay but no luck yet. I wasn't sure if they'd still have it in on April 12th as it's more of a winter jumper.

Hi @BunnyJumper

I’m a member of a big mums group on FB, they’re always finding things for one another and sending them when kids love them. Worth a try definitely!

Boden and Zara both have the exact same ethical rating as Primark.

BunnyJumper · 11/03/2021 21:48

@ThatsTheTea thank you! What's the group called? Is it big mums?

I wish I could help but I have the same dilemma.

My 2 year old only sleeps through the night in a specific sleep suit that I bought the week it closed again. It's threadbare now and I'm desperate to buy more! I wish Primark was online...
