Hi!

I know, it's not meant for AIBU! But I need help and it's for my almost 2 year old so surely you can't hate me for asking? :)

She's in love with a primark bunny jumper that I bought her in December. She loves it so much.
We've even had to let her wear it to bed sometimes!

I've had to put it on for a wash today she misses it so much!

I know she probably won't be able to wear it for much longer. But I really need another one.

Obviously I've had a look on fb and eBay but no luck! Is there anywhere else I should check?

Help! I've attached a pic :)

@Fuckitaaaallllll I wish we knew in advance what clothing they'd take a liking to so that we could stock up! I feel your pain. I hope you can find another one.

@peak2021

If you feel the need to support a company whose supply chain includes sweatshop labour and deaths, then they re-open probably on April 12th.

You could just seek to get her to love something else.

Do they also make itchy hairshirts?
Mowly75 · 11/03/2021 22:05

Now you’ve found another one OP, she’ll go off it... Grin

BunnyJumper · 11/03/2021 22:12

@Mowly75 🤪 this made me laugh because I bet that's exactly what happens!

Glad you found another one! Does she have a teddy big enough to wear her current one when she grows out of it?

tiredmum2468 · 11/03/2021 23:06

@BunnyJumper
Don't give up hope - with the shops being closed from the beginning of January there's a very good chance that they will still be selling off winter stock 🤞 you find one.

My advice - get in the que early that morning x

BunnyJumper · 11/03/2021 23:08

@DontWannaBeObamasElf yes a bunny teddy funnily enough 🤣

Sorry started typing then saw you'd found one that's great news 🐰

BunnyJumper · 11/03/2021 23:09

@tiredmum2468 I'll probably still buy another size up if they're still in stock! :)

Thank you

BunnyJumper · 11/03/2021 23:11

@Feelingconfused2020 suuusssh or Peak will be back!

Feelingconfused2020 · 11/03/2021 23:13

My 2 year old only sleeps through the night in a specific sleep suit that I bought the week it closed again. It's threadbare now and I'm desperate to buy more! I wish Primark was online...*

I know it's unpopular but it's also true..

If you buy better quality, more ethical stuff it won't get damaged and go threadbare after months. .... Just saying.

And by the way I buy a lot of stuff second hand on eBay so this isn't a snobby financial thing. Primark are just a bunch of wankers and if an item is going threadbare after a few months then thats surely not good enough.

Feelingconfused2020 · 11/03/2021 23:14

You.mean the peak who speaks the truth?

BunnyJumper · 11/03/2021 23:25

@Feelingconfused2020 I see where you and Peak are coming from. You don't like Primark.

The fact of the matter is that my daughter loves this particular jumper, from Primark.

If you have a problem with Primark, take that up with them. Not me and my 2yr old. If this was a jumper from another supplier I would still be looking for it as she needs another one.

I also was half joking regarding the comment I make about Peak coming back.

I thought this comment was hilarious Grin

JustAnotherBrick · 12/03/2021 00:01

@BunnyJumper glad you got one. Speaking from experience, give it a couple of washes before putting her in it, maybe wash in with the old one for a bit. Toddlers are past masters at knowing when something looks or especially smells different to the original!

BunnyJumper · 12/03/2021 00:12

@JustAnotherBrick Good tip! I'll definitely do that as I think she will 100% know that it's not the same one.
She kisses the bunny on it...so I hope it's mainly the design she likes!

Feelingconfused2020 · 12/03/2021 00:54

If you have a problem with Primark, take that up with them. Ah don't worry I have. I feel it's right to raise awareness of their poor ethical standards though as reasonable people don't seem to be aware.

Time40 · 12/03/2021 01:32

I've had things from Primark that have gone on and on and on for years. And I had an ultra-ethical (and much more expensive than Primark) organic cotton top that shrank so much it became unwearable ... just saying.

I'm glad you got another bunny top, OP.

Piglet89 · 12/03/2021 06:30

I bought some little long sleeved tops for my son second hand on eBay this week. They’re from matalan and primark.

I’m coming to this thread to be absolved. Judgy ones on this thread; please wash away all my iniquity and cleanse me from my sin.

Oh do bore off. Nobody cares and nobody wants you here

Fall out of bed on the wrong side did you? Hmm
