No - Team Windsor

Nothing - Don’t really care!

Quirrel

So she actually said the words 'the whole of the UK are racist'

Did she?

icdtap · 08/03/2021 16:33

There's been a lot of talk over the years about Charles possibly abdicating and it has always been said that in that case, William would be next in line. No passing of the throne to Charles' revolting brother, thank goodness.

So presumably if William was forced to abdicate because of a racist comment, the next in line is George.
Won't happen though...

And yes, I agree with others. Prince Andrew is absolutely disgusting and I don't know why there hasn't been the same outrage about him.

Jangirl2018 · 08/03/2021 16:33

@Quirrelsotherface

Well, we'll start with the fact that she's accused our entire country of being racist and announced it to the world when in actual fact she was welcomed with open arms. Hope you're less confused now

Oh ok, that clears it up then. So you feel personally attacked and aggrieved by what she’s said, even though that’s not what she’s said. That makes sense

Ashanti21 · 08/03/2021 16:34

@Quirrelsotherface Are you suggesting there is no racism in the UK? I have been asked where I am from originally and told to go back to Africa more times than I can count. My children have been made fun of for having non English names, brexit racist attacks ???? Seriously

Roussette · 08/03/2021 16:35

@Jangirl2018

It's opened up something rather unpleasant to my mind.

Actually I forgot a no.4 on my list.

 1. Why are you talking about Andrew. Start a thread on him if you want to.

I did. Or I resuscitated an old one, can't remember. Lots of links to new information. It got very little traffic. Posters were too busy posting about M&H.

Quirrelsotherface · 08/03/2021 16:36

Roussette

Pretty much, that's why she moved dear, she wasn't made welcome. Or rather in her deluded mind that fits the dramatic narrative that she wants to believe.

Lets not forget that this is a woman who befriended Lizzie Cundy and slid into Matt Cardles dm's, such was her desperation to be famous by association. Bet she could not believe her luck with she met Harry.

She did say it in a previous statement or interview. It was a couple of years back.
She did not say it in this interview.

@RubyViolet

The press will not rest until they “out” the RF member that spoke about the baby with Harry. If the person is William then he will surely have to step aside from succession. So .... that would put Harry as the heir to the throne after Charles ?? Putting him and Meghan above William and Kate.
That isn't how it works, if William can't/won't become king it passes to George, you can't do a side step. If it isn't George next is Charlotte (as the got rid of the old rule that younger sons went ahead of their older sisters) and if it can't be William, George or Charlotte there is still Louis. So Harry is highly unlikely to ever be heir to the throne.
@Roussette

It beggars belief that Prince Andrew has such damning allegations against him, yet people are hell bent on hating this woman. It makes no sense. NONE
That's exactly what my husband says!

littlepattilou · 08/03/2021 16:41

I don't dislike Meghan, although part of me thinks - rightly or wrongly - that she has taken Prince Harry from us, and it was her intention all along to go back to the USA. Yeah I KNOW he has a mind of his own, but I really feels like whilst they are joint Captains of their ship, Meghan is steering it, and plotting all the routes...

So for me, it's Team Windsor.

ExtraordinaryQuince · 08/03/2021 16:42

@DarkMutterings

^Team middle ground.

Boring I know. But am a big believer in that there are 3 sides to every story. Side A, side B and the truth.^

@Quirrelsotherface

They've both sat on a world stage and said that the UK is a racist country. It's unforgivable. She breezed onto the scene with all the grace of a bull in a china shop and when she didn't get everything she wanted she threw her toys out of her pram. She has fallen out with every single member of her family apart from her mother (who she didn't live with growing up) and now, lo and behold, Harry has fallen out with his. A textbook narcissist who has now proclaimed she is a victim of racism and has been suicidal. Making it very difficult for anyone to criticize. It's manipulative and extremely dangerous behaviour.
The UK is racist as a country, I've experienced it myself in alot of the cities and towns I've visited or lived in.

I've had comments from strangers just walking in the street, at work, in shops etc.

And no wonder with the very institution that acts as our head of state is itself racist.

But hey ho I'm sure you will dismiss what I've experienced.

Bunnyfuller · 08/03/2021 16:43

I thought they had gone away to be ordinary people. I’m ordinary people. Do I need security. Maybe not. What about families living in crime hot spots, high rates of burglaries/mugging/drug dealing etc. They need security?

I think H and M will struggle by. Or maybe he’s admitting that despite his ‘real’ jobs (I’ve served overseas with Royals....and they make sure they go VERY carefully. Or perhaps stay in somewhere nice and safe) he has zero transferable skills to get an...actual...job...gulp. Or maybe she could go back to work, like some of us mums do.

Honestly it is a repeat of them bleating rules for others whilst doing the opposite themselves. The press in the UK don’t like her because of her behaviour, not her ethnic background. Entitled comes in a wide variety of forms.

littlepattilou · 08/03/2021 16:44

I mean, I loved it when Harry got with Meghan, and I think she is beautiful and thought she was lively and vibrant, and good for him. I was chuffed to ribbons when they got married. But since Jan 2020, I have gone off her a bit, and feel let down by them both.

Maybe irrational, and not my business and all that. But that is how I feel.

I still don't dislike her, I feel more annoyed with her a bit, and I feel bad that Harry has left us. Sad

Roussette · 08/03/2021 16:44

Quirrel
Pretty much, that's why she moved dear,

Are you calling me 'dear'?
That rather negates the rest of your rant I'm afraid

AwonderfulNewName · 08/03/2021 16:45

@Quirrelsotherface - I absolutely agree with you.

Also - when exactly did they get married? Three days before the wedding by the Archbishop in the garden without witnesses? Really?

Also - when was the press racist against Meghan? Does anyone have any links to racist articles about her?

TaylorSwaft · 08/03/2021 16:45

Someone said something to someone who said it to someone else who said it to the rest of the world.

I'm team for fucks sake enough already.

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 08/03/2021 16:48

Team Harry Meghan and The Windsors are the least of my worries

Roussette · 08/03/2021 16:48

when was the press racist against Meghan

I am 😂 at this.

There have been links, front page pics, screenshots to any number of racist headlines about her on these threads in the past.

Jangirl2018 · 08/03/2021 16:50

@icdtap

She did say it in a previous statement or interview. It was a couple of years back

Interesting. I’d love to see that quote

RubyViolet · 08/03/2021 16:52

Any constitutional experts here ? I have scrolled through wiki and can’t see a clear answer.

If William abdicates does that take his offspring out of the succession ?

Whammyyammy · 08/03/2021 16:54

The Amazon River flows thousands of miles. At some point, the lake passes through an area of rainforest that is almost untouched and barely explored. Due to the porous limestone in this area, river water leaks through the rock and flows deep into the earth, forming an underground pool nearly a mile below the surface. For thousands of years, blind small transparent fish have lived and evolved in this pond. This fish has never seen the sun or the surface and has never been seen by the human eye. This fish cares more about Meghan than I do.

It’s a deliberate cognitive dissonance. Racism shows up in many forms, those who are educated about it will know that. What people want to see as ‘proof’ is her referred to as a N word or Black ba**d.

ancientgran · 08/03/2021 16:57

@Jangirl2018

It just shocks me that there is so much hate and vitriol for this couple. The amount of conclusion and assumptions asserted in this thread truly amaze me.

What also amazes me, is PRINCE ANDREW?!!!!! Where is the outrage where that is concerned. What exactly has Meghan done that is so awful? What is the hatred about? Name the crime. I’m truly confused Confused

Did you miss the condemnation and derision for Andrew when he did a TV interview. You can't keep flogging a dead horse, how many times do you want that dragged up? The Harry and Megan stuff is current, not that I think there should be hate. I'm sure if the legal investigation on Andrew moves on we will hear all about that.

I'm sure lots of us would find it hard to adjust to a royal life, some of it is good but lots seems fairly difficult and frankly boring. I often think the Queen would probably rather be at home in her slippers rather than entertaining someone like Donald Trump but that's the job. I find them a bit whingey but if they weren't happy here then leaving was the right thing to do, they have a lovely home (well I suppose it is haven't been round to view it myself) they have a nice little boy and soon they should have a little girl, they have loads of money, they both seem fit and healthy so they have lots going for them in fact they are blessed.

If they have mental health issues for whatever reason (I lost a parent at the same age as Harry and I know how that can affect you and my husband is mixed race so he knows about that) I'm sure they can get help with that. Harry wants to repair or rebuild (can't remember the exact words) his relationship with his father but this interview isn't really the way to do that. It's done now so I hope they can all work it out and he can reconnect with his family and hope she can do the same. Her dad seems a bit of a sad old man, I never really understood what he did but he obviously upset them but he seemed hurt as well.

If they can't all play happy families I hope they can adjust to that but perhaps just leave GB and the royal family in the past. Although it would be nice if he felt able to come and see his granddad as I think they were close and if anything happens to him and Harry doesn't see him he is likely to regret it in the future but he's a big boy so I'm sure he can make his own decision.

Time for some healing for all of them.

Roussette · 08/03/2021 16:57

@Jangirl2018

Yes!

I know exactly how this pans out. I scurry off and waste half an hour of my life gathering headlines, articles, whatever and post them @ the poster who asked.

Who then ignores my post to her totally. Because that poster has moved on to the next load of BS

I won't do it anymore.
