So when you are the subject of a vicious, racist press campaign, you put yourself in the wrong by speaking out about why you left the country and the job, and what happened when you did?
If you spoke in detail about institutional racism then fine.
If it's 'I stopped being a senior royal and it's so mean that nobody funds my security bill', 'when I chose to leave life in the royal family, my dad stopped funding me' then no. Leave the pity party and move on. They both need the interviews to market themselves.
If your average mumsnetter wrote a post that said:
My family are racists and have been awful about my new wife for being mixed race so I've gone low contact with them then they'd rightly get a huge amount of support for putting distance between them and a toxic and racist family.
If further into the thread they said:
and another thing, when I went low contact my Dad decided to stop giving me handouts so I've had to look for work to gain sympathy then they'd be rightly told that they are an adult who should support their family without Daddy bankrolling them, especially if Dad is part of the toxic culture that caused them to go low contact.
If someone posted:
I left my job because the culture was institutionally racist and I was bullied to the point it affected my mental health then they would rightly get huge amounts of support because it's evident the company allowed racism.
If part way through the thread they said:
and to make matters worse, once I left my job I was no longer able to live rent free in a company property and the company have stopped paying for my company car, and they've taken my travel allowance off me then they would rightly be told that however bad the company is, the conpany doesn't have to fund the expenses of someone who no longer works there.
