Nothing - Don’t really care!

OP posts:

@JovialNickname

Oh and on top of crocodile being Archie's first word (yes all three syllables, it has been confirmed) his favourite word now is apparently "hydrate". Yes of course it is

😂🤣😂

Puzzledandpissedoff · 08/03/2021 13:20

Neither - I detest the entire institution that's the monarchy but also detest the way H&M are behaving

CovidKingfisher · 08/03/2021 13:22

If the comment about the babies skin is true, and I can well believe it is, then that is appalling. I imagine we all know who it was that said that...

Oprah has now said it was NOT the Queen or Prince Phillip....

Bunnyfuller · 08/03/2021 13:22

I just wonder how much they were paid for the interview. Money not as easy to come by now. Hope they don’t drag as low as the Duchess of York.

I am for the abolition of the monarchy, but while they still exist don’t bloody kick off about the down sides of it whilst reaping the good side.

It was never going to go the same way as Diana, as she is nowhere near who Diana was. Kate and William seem to be managing.

@ivykaty44

I love a bit of gossip and this is like a posh Jeremy Kyle, posh gutter stories
Haha! Quite Grin

I feel a bit sorry for the kids as they won't have any reasonable chance of a relationship with their paternal cousins across the pond. At least George, Charlotte and Louis have maternal cousins they can play with but I doubt that Archie will have strong ties with Meghan's family.

Feel sorry for Kate too, this must all take a toll on her. Meghan is the quintessential 'look at meeeeee' WAG type whereas Catherine has got class and sense.

The most pathetic things is that Harry and Meghan chose to use their global platform moment to whine about Kate allegedly making Meghan cry (like a first grader) and for complaining that they didn't get a royal title and millions in funds from tax payers for Archie when so many kids in the UK haven't got food on their table.

Rather than using the Oprah interview which is broadcast globally to affect change for humanitarian's purposes they decided to bicth about the in-laws. Not that philanthropic after all. Their slogan is 'compassion in action'. Was this compassion in action? If not what else are they disingenuous about?

Welcome to Archewell. Through our non-profit work, as well as creative activations, we drive systemic cultural change across all communities, one act of compassion at a time.

This is their mission statement. Was Oprahs interview and act of compassion?

mrsjoyfulprizeforraffiawork · 08/03/2021 13:23

Team Queenie

But, in defence of Harry's claim that Archie's first word was crocodile (possibly the only defence I can muster for him), my father was always told by his parents (both very down to earth and unsentimental) that his first word was kangaroo (apparently he had a toy kangaroo).

Didn’t Harry say he would never reveal who it was? But he’s told Oprah who it wasn’t? 🤨
Bunnyfuller · 08/03/2021 13:33

And if they did get married 3 days before, then shame on them for wasting public money on the fucking public supposedly real one. And what a mockery of the supposed Royal Family Head of the C of E.

They have no class. I didn’t actually know she was black until fairly recently. I don’t like any primary donnas, regardless of where they’re from, what they do, what they bloody eat or don’t eat, and whatever bloody colour they are.

Poor taste altogether when hundreds of thousands of people are struggling to house and feed their families. They need a bloody real job and stop navel gazing woe is me. I was happy when they stopped pontificating over here and buggered off after the precious pantomime with their PFB.

cabingirl · 08/03/2021 13:34

The mental health and no help claims make no sense at all. Both William and Harry have talked a lot about all the therapy they've had. To deal with their mother's death and then William talked about needing therapy to deal with the bad stuff he saw when he was in the air ambulance.

Kate's brother has talked about having group family therapy for his depression that Kate attended.

No one would have had to know if Meghan had one therapist or several for her mental health.

Before Harry and William mentioned it themselves in interviews no one had a clue that any of them had attended any mental health treatment. So it's clear it's possible to do so without it being an issue.

dontdisturbmenow · 08/03/2021 13:37

The blame for this whole fiasco lies solely with Harry for rushing into marriage without letting his fiancé know what she was getting into
Totally agree with this. Kate and William broke for some time because of what joining royal family entailed. She was prepared to give him up because she knew what it meant.

Harry didn't care, he was just a madly in love with a madly pretty girl and she was too arrogant and wanting to live the dream to really question what she was getting in.

It was pretty obvious from the start that she wouldn't adapt. Too demanding for attention, too politically involved, too wanting her cake and eat it.

The Royals were good not to voice this although it would have been obvious to them. They were good at welcoming her, then good at letting them go gracefully. But she still had to have her tantrums listened too and he is still to in love to see the bigger picture.

Hopefully all this will strengthen the foundations of their marriage so that at least this stays intact.

cabingirl · 08/03/2021 13:39

Plus all the dramatic "my drivers licence and keys and passport were taken away from me" like she was some prisoner.

We see the younger royals all driving themselves all over the place all the time. And one of the criticisms of Harry and Meghan was all the international flying they were doing - so clearly they must have let her have her passport back pretty quickly after 'taking it'

Everleigh2021 · 08/03/2021 13:39

'concerns and conversations' over the baby's potential skin colour....nothing about potentially having red hair either then? nothing wrong with either but she says 'conversations' when i had only previously read here it was 'concerns' which does make it sound racist

why does she describe her son as 'the first member of colour in this family'?

also, could Camilla ever be described as a 'senior' member of the royal family?

Everleigh2021 · 08/03/2021 13:41

they need to remove all documents at official visits due to them potentially getting into the wrong hands

they dont carry anything they could lose....bank cards etc

BellamyBells · 08/03/2021 13:43

I'll never forget all the bithchy looks between Kate and Camilla at the wedding.

Yes Harry and Meghan can be annoying but the visceral hate for her? Hmm not suspicious as all.

StatisticallyChallenged · 08/03/2021 13:46

This sounded like it could be something quite innocent being twisted tbh. "We keep everyone's passports in the safe so we have them to hand for travel bookings" or similar.
Druidlookingidiot · 08/03/2021 13:46

I quite liked Meghan to start with but I think she's brought a lot on her and Harry's heads. I think she was very naive when she joined the Royal Family but then to be fair, I guess knowing quite how it is was difficult. However, I think she now thinks she's bigger than the Royal Family but she's not.

I believe there was a great opportunity for Meghan and Harry to help modernise the royals. That will never happen now, which I find quite sad. Public opinion will turn against her. They've burned their boats with Harry's family, so what's left for them? Very sad really.

Ellpellwood · 08/03/2021 13:47

I just wonder how much they were paid for the interview. Money not as easy to come by now. Hope they don’t drag as low as the Duchess of York.

Nothing. As far as I know this was the very first thing Oprah said.

JustDanceAddict · 08/03/2021 13:48

Idk
I’ve always felt bad for William and Harry losing their mum at such a young age. Whatever your opinion of the RF is, that was a hideous thing to happen and all the money in the world wouldn’t make up for such a loss. I can see why Harry wanted to protect his wife from all that crap.
However, I haven’t got much of an opinion on Megan, although it did seem like the press were vilifying her as they did Diana. Perhaps it’s crass to do the interview now in Covid times, but there’s always crap going on in the world.

AgeLikeWine · 08/03/2021 13:49

So it turns out that Meghan’s claim that they got married three days before the wedding wasn’t actually true. H&M have now ‘clarified’ that it was effectively a private rehearsal of their vows and that they were legally married during the ceremony.

So, having established that she lied at least once during the interview, what else that she said isn’t actually true?

LakieLady · 08/03/2021 13:49

@Distiller91

Team abolish the monarchy
Me too. If Charlie wants to be head of state, he can put himself up for election along with anyone else who fancies the job/.

Phil the Greek is a shocking old racist, he has form for racist comments. I bet it was him who was wondering about the baby's skin colour.

Mousemay · 08/03/2021 13:50

Never liked Meghan since she stood outside a women's rape centre in South Africa and moaned about how difficult her life was and all I could think of was the poor women she has just met and how utterly vulnerable they were and how they had suffered. Que one of the most privileged women in the world moaning about normal family fall outs whilst women's lives have been devastated by violence and rape. Also either make a direct accusation of racism or not. They know at this time that a hint of racism is all they need to say and their side will be believed. It's all so contrived and yet not a word about what her own family have said in the press Confused

ajandjjmum · 08/03/2021 13:51

@SandyY2K

nobody would have a clue she was mixed-race if she didn’t tell them.

Why wouldn't they have a clue? I can see she's mixed race. Similar to Jessica Ennis, who is also mixed race.

I think it comes from a lot of people's (moreso non black people's) lack of knowledge with other skin colours and being able to differentiate.

A bit like when the Health Secretary was asked why there were no black people on the cabinet and he referred to 2 Asian ministers.

I wouldn't have known she was mixed race, but it was mentioned in Prince Harry's very first statement. Until that point, I had never heard of her.

And I didn't know that Jessica Ennis was mixed race - good that you can still learn things on this thread.

I know I am not very observant!

Frequentflier · 08/03/2021 13:52

Team: eliminate the monarchy.

Peppafrig · 08/03/2021 13:53

The poor me I got cut off as I didn’t want the job anymore I had to live off the 30million my mum left me . When a lot of people are struggling to pay bills and losing jobs. We needed to take those Netflix contracts as we needed the money . 30 mill not enough for you huh.
