AIBU to think that Prince Harry is coming across as the most tone deaf and hypocritical member of the RF right now?

Yes the guy lost his mother in a tragic way at a young age. (So have many) Yes he was forced out into the public eye in the middle of grief (which was horrific at the time and worse on reflection) BUT he is now an adult man with a family and access to life of extreme privilege yet he cannot seem to realise that him publically complaining about his lot in life and telling the rest of us how to behave is distasteful. Also, the petulant way he seems to communicate with the media is just undelining his immaturity and lack of awareness. By which I mean, the potshots in statements and rapping with James Corden and his pathetic man of the people schtick. If you want to be Hazzer give up your title and STFU!

I really enjoyed James Corden and Prince Harry on the tour, Harry comes across very kind and overprotective encouraging James in his time of need. The waffle maker story was a cute connection between Archie and Queen Elizabeth.

queenofthelamas · 26/02/2021 23:36

If you're sick of it why did you start another thread about him Hmm

Kendodd · 26/02/2021 23:40

Oh ffs why do you lot even care what he does.

I loved James saying "why are you talking to me like a dog?" On their obstacle course 🤣
Emeraldshamrock · 27/02/2021 00:18

I think his popularity may have increased after the show, he of the royals has always created a soft spot in a lot of hearts. 🤷🏼‍♀️

HmmmmmmInteresting · 27/02/2021 00:33

I loved the James Cordon interview! Harry came across as so down to earth, and how beautiful was Meghan on bloody facetime?! Envy

HmmmmmmInteresting · 27/02/2021 00:35

I'm guessing the Oprah interview is going to massively increase their popularity. Not in the UK though, because they can't do right there 🙄🤔

QueenOfTheDoubleWide · 27/02/2021 00:36

@loobylou10

“ Prince Harry married a Black woman.

People racists who like to think they're not got angry.

The end.”

God! I am so sick of this being wheeled out every time someone dares say they don't like them.
I loved them both when they got married and was excited to see what they could achieve - lost my patience with them when they started their preaching and whining about how awful their life was and telling the rest of us how to live.

Read the room!

Exactly! Megan showed her inability to empathise when in one of the poorest countries in the world complaining "No-one ever asks about me, me, meeeeee" and Harry seems to have the same affliction It's not about racism it's about being bloody irritating!

Flouncer.

Mydogruns · 27/02/2021 00:50

Can we have a hating Harry and Meghan please. I am totally fed up seeing it on these boards

Mydogruns · 27/02/2021 00:51

A hating H&M topic please?

Wow.

So have MANY people had their mother publicly murdered, the whole world talking about it all their life and then stepped back from the public eye because they are terrified of the same thing happening to their girlfriend and son?

Does that happen to lots of people, then?

'complaining about his lot in life'
Hmm

TorringtonDean · 27/02/2021 01:03

What was the point of the Cordon fest? I mean normally Royals do this sort of thing to plug a charity or cause. Harry just seemed to be doing it for self-promotion. A strange thing to do when you are already a prince.

Rubybluesy · 27/02/2021 01:03

@Sparklingbrook

I thought the James Corden thing was brilliant. Thoroughly enjoyed it and Harry came across really well.

I am sick of all the whining TBH.

Agreed. YABU
SunscreenCentral · 27/02/2021 01:14

I’d say he congratulates himself every single day for escaping this kind of thing. As for Piers Morgan and his H&M bitterness 😆 Well done Harry!

I believe the advice on here if you don't like seeing Harry and Meghan content is to 'change the channel' and go and find some other media to occupy yourself with.
RootyT00t · 27/02/2021 01:19

Good advice.

Rather than coming on to slate them, particularly in the manner OP did.

Hedwigtheowl · 27/02/2021 01:22

I just wish he’d stop trading on being royal and royal connections, and achieve something worthwhile and newsworthy in his own right.

Basically name dropping about presents the Queen has sent is so tacky.

She's his grandmother

Also though, Harry has repeatedly tried to do things in his own right, ie going to war.

He wasn't allowed.

He can't open his mouth, appear at an event, have an interview, do anything for charity, without being criticised.

So what would you like him to do?

LetMeBubble · 27/02/2021 01:38

I do think a lot of these threads do have a lot of “press” presence amongst the usernames.

Perhaps antagonising those debates and profiting from them.

So I think anyone who is antagonising and polarising those threads should be met with generic anti bullying responses and not with detailed information about the actual
Topic because I do think this might be what they’re actually after.

It’s a bit more comforting to realise finally that this level of obsession and polarisation isn’t representative of the public. Because it really isn’t.

That explains the dubious claims some posters have to close sources in the Royal household.

@ElspethFlashman

There also doesn't seem to be a sense that Harry is going to spend the rest of his life in America.

I mean, this is it. This is the rest of his life. He won't be moving back. He won't be spending any real time in the UK ever again. Oh I'm sure he'll go back to visit his friends a couple of times a year but that's it. He's going to live the rest of his days in LA. He will have LA children. It's not like the Beckhams where they lived there for a few years and then decided to return to their stately pile in dear old England.

Do (some) people in the UK not understand where they live? They don’t live in LA. They don’t live in Hollywood. They don’t even live in LA County. They’re about 2 hours outside of LA.

Why do (some) British people find the concept of LA so offensive?

Besides, what’s wrong with raising their kids in LA?

Sparklingbrook · 27/02/2021 05:36

I just wish he’d stop trading on being royal

He can't do anything without being accused of that can he? He is from the Royal family, there's nothing he can do about that. He can't rewrite history and not be Prince Charles' son. Confused

They live in LA. Loads of people commute in everyday, my relative who lived there had a three-hour commute! Perhaps locals make a distinction but nobody else does.

But Archie’s the great-grandson of a queen but be totally out of touch with his English heritage. It’s going to blow his mind someday 😂
