I'm intrigued.
Some days I don't brush my teeth until after lunch! I have got in the habit of rolling out of bed, brushing my hair and pulling on clothes then go downstairs just as the morning meeting starts. Then shower and brush my teeth on my lunch break and eat my lunch at my desk! 🙈

Going for a 40 min nap on the days I get a full lunch hour Shock. I do ten minutes of quick eating, into bed fully clothed in smart office attire with the electric blanket on, sleep for 40 minutes then within the ten minutes before I start back I spring up, check face for sleep drool, tame hair and touch up makeup, straighten clothes, go for a wee, make a hot drink then plonk myself back in front of the laptop and ready for my next Teams meeting with about 30 secs to spare. Shocking eh?!

@BigSandyBalls2015

Oh and my MN viewing has increased enormously, to the point where I think I might have to go cold turkey
I had to install a site blocker so I could blacklist MN between 9 and 6 Blush

Didn’t install a blocker on the iPad though, so it sneaks in now and then.

Getting up later ( and going to bed later) as I have no predawn commute! Bliss! I hate getting up early! Secret supply of chocolate in the desk drawer ( behind the stamps) - they are well hidden!

Tiddlywinkly · 25/02/2021 23:26

Too many takeaways and too much midweek booze.

Working longer hours.

Listening to music/Audible whilst working. Bliss! It's frowned upon in the office. I don't see the problem if I'm doing tasks that don't require massive concentration.

I have young kids. No lie-in for me.

To my credit, I've kept up my running so I have to shower every day. I wish I could fit in a lunchtime walk though.

Oh, just thought of something - I get bored and buy clothes. There have been some amazing bargains to be had, especially workwear as no one seems to be buying it. 70% off silk blouses from Jigsaw, for example. Not so great for my bank balance, but an investment that addresses my resolve to buy better quality staples.

IamAporcupine · 25/02/2021 23:29

@mainsfed

Procrastination, procrastination, procrastination.

I should be getting all my work done and then going for a walk, watching TV etc instead I'm taking 12 hours to do what can be done in 6.

This is me and is driving me crazy.
thefirstmrsrochester · 25/02/2021 23:54

I’m lucky in that I don’t have to log in or quantify my time. I take a nap between 2-4pm a couple of days a week and feel better for it.

MarieIVanArkleStinks · 26/02/2021 00:04

Burping loudly and unashamedly as and when.

I'm teaching online most days. I have a horrible dread that one of these days I'm going to do this having forgotten to turn my mic off ...

Smallgoon · 26/02/2021 00:26

@sneakysnoopysniper

I laughed a lot when I read most of these postings because I WFH all the time and run an online business.

I do shower every morning and do exercises, because I am arthritic and they help get me mobile. However I cant recall last time I wore make up, underwear or a bra. I wear long loose kaftans so in the event I have to answer the door or go onto camera I do look decent. I also wear my hair up so it always looks tidy. I dont drive so if I go out its a taxi door to door and usually a coat on top of my kaftan.

I do have a routine which is built around taking a mid morning break, lunch, and then time to have a nap. I work again for a couple of hours in the evening.

If I had a "normal" office job I would probably take guilty pleasure in doing what many of you are doing. All my life I worked in customer facing roles and always said that when I retired I would do what I liked.

In my favour I have to admit Im 76!

You sound pretty awesome if I'm honest!
MrsBDarcy · 26/02/2021 09:37

I'm amazed at all those who can do very little. How is time spent when you're in an office?! I'm working way longer hours and hardly move from my desk. But I am minging. Don't shower every day in the morning. Usually do at night if I exercise and my hair and make up is put the window. I e stuck tape over my web cam to give a filter. But do I want to go back? Nope. I do not miss driving 1.5 hours each way

Dagnabit · 26/02/2021 10:16

I still get up at 7 every weekday morning as dh gets up for work and the children get up for home school but I don’t bother with smart clothes and I don’t bother doing my hair or make up. I actually start earlier than I normally do when going into the office because I can log on at home then take the youngest to school (when they were open) and then carry on after so that allows me to build up flex or finish earlier which is nice. Even when back to normal, I think I’ll only have to go in 2 days a week if that so I’m happy about that!

My bad habits are doing bits of housework during my screen breaks, getting the Tesco delivery during working hours and watching programmes on my phone or iPad - it has to be something fairly mindless though because I do have to concentrate sometimes. Productivity is high within our team and I get consistently good feedback so it can’t be affecting my work too much.

MustardMitt · 26/02/2021 10:29

Eating too much
Not getting dressed
Not showering
Not cleaning teeth
Not washing hair
Just being a general minger Blush

I would say doing stuff I shouldn’t be in working hours but that’s not specific to working from home!

When I was in the office, I sometimes stared out of the window, chatted with colleagues, wandered around the office just to have a break. It's all amounting to about the same amount of work. But the lack of pressure to be beautifully presented and look interested during meetings is nice.
ichundich · 26/02/2021 11:07

I don't get no bra thing. Is it actually more comfortable? I can go without washing my hair for some days, but without a bra I just feels 'untidy'.

knackeredcat · 26/02/2021 11:23

Letting my grey roots grow out, not washing my hair as much, no makeup, no bra (but comfort tops are my friends). With my knockers I'm dreading having to wear reinforced bras again. Even ordinary footwear like flat boots and trainers are a culture shock when I reluctantly have to nip out as I'm so used to slippers now. I'm a hermitic slob. Blush

Passthecake30 · 27/02/2021 09:27

Wearing dirty clothes, (food stained etc), no one can see from the shoulders up?! Washing my hair every 4-5 days instead of every 2. Exercising at lunchtime and showering much much later. Eating lunch at 10am. Procrastinating- my dd has even told me off “just stop faffing and do some work!”Blush
