I'm intrigued.
Some days I don't brush my teeth until after lunch! I have got in the habit of rolling out of bed, brushing my hair and pulling on clothes then go downstairs just as the morning meeting starts. Then shower and brush my teeth on my lunch break and eat my lunch at my desk! 🙈

On the very cold days, I've worked in my pj's and dressing gown.
Once or twice I've watched wanted down under because I'm at the end of my rope with lack of management knowledge, awareness or support.
Some days I wake at 8.50 to start at 0900.
I listen to kisstory or dance music very loudly and wail to Florence and the machine.
(to drown out the godawful building works complete with petrol fucking generator next door).
I lose control of my eyeballs when on Skype - camera off.

hamstersarse · 25/02/2021 15:04

Sitting down for too long without a break

Taking no days off

Freshprincess · 25/02/2021 15:04

Snacking
MN in the day (deleted FB off my phone so I wouldn’t be tempted and here I am on MN instead)

I Never got out of the habit of showering and getting at least ‘nice dressed’ from waist up. I’ve embraced the leggings though. Not worn make up since April, though not that bad habit. . I don’t really brush my hair very often either. wash it, tie it up and ready to go.

I kid myself people can’t really see me on teams calls Grin

purplecorkheart · 25/02/2021 15:20

Tik Tock has become my guilty little secret. Mind you I have learned lots of handy life hacks (that I promptly forget). Actually bought an index note book to write them down. I also wash my hair less than daily. I claim that I am trying to train my hair but actually I am trying to keep the colour for longer.

chickennuggs · 25/02/2021 15:24

Food. All the time.

Laptop open. iPad on. Phone next to me. Often all three screens 'live' at once, flitting between. At the start of this lockdown, I was working in the living room and would sometimes have the TV on as well for 'background noise' until I realised how ridiculous it was.

Working from 7am until 7, 8, 9pm sometimes, without really getting up or moving around at all. But also being really unproductive and putting off simple tasks like emailing someone.

smoothieooo · 25/02/2021 15:26

I go for a 40 min walk before work but I never seem to get back early enough for a shower before actually logging on (another lunchtime showerer here). I too have been attacking the biscuits with abandon and discovered the joys of real butter, but got a massive wake up call when I stood on the scales last week (although it was pretty obvious that I'd gained a shit load of weight from the fact that my size 12 clothes with a waistband don't fit any more). The large glass of red 5 nights out of 7 didn't help either.

Boringly, from this week it's fruit for breakfast, homemade soup for lunch and no buying biscuits. FFS.

AdventureIsWaiting · 25/02/2021 15:29

Swapping an underwired bra for a crop top (TBH thinking about keeping with this one as most days it's just me and a female colleague in the office). YY to elasticated waistbands and snacking, although I'm now trying to do something about that. Washing my hair every fourth day, instead of every second day.

The worst one has to be not waking up until 0730 most mornings, having a leisurely breakfast / flick through MN and starting work at 0900. I have had to go back into the office a few times since March last year and felt like a zombie getting up at 0615 again. I need to crack that one sharpish.

notalwaysalondoner · 25/02/2021 15:29

I’d say I’ve actually been pretty disciplined, only started wearing leggings recently as I’m pregnant, my bad habits are more around procrastination than eating or wearing pyjamas, but I would say:

  • Not wearing anything resembling workwear for the whole winter - my house is a lot colder than the office!
  • Not wearing make up since last March
  • Never doing anything with my hair
  • Not showering as much as I should do, especially since pregnancy has disrupted my exercise routine and ensuing showering
  • Faffing about on mumsnet too much
Some “bad habits” I love though
  • Taking work calls in the garden when warm enough
  • Walking work calls in the sun
  • Finishing early as no one can see
  • Napping in daytime if I need to

As long as I get the work done then I love the freedom it gives me to do the above

Stovetopespresso · 25/02/2021 15:41

havnt been able to motivate self or ds10 this side of half term. hopenits not a habit....

RhymesWithOrange · 25/02/2021 15:42

Eating
Drinking
Sitting
Wearing my dressing gown 24/7

OneStepInTheFuture · 25/02/2021 15:58

Not me because I don't WFH....but kids have got into habit of rolling out of bed for morning register and morning work, not brushing hair, teeth brushed at break time, not getting dressed most days....it's gonna be hard work on them when they go back to school. (And my poor washer....it's going to be washing pyjamas AND uniform, it isn't going to be happy)

purpleme12 · 25/02/2021 16:02

Not getting dressed till later on in the day (and then hurriedly between calls)
I know some don't mind it but I do
And getting up at the last minute

sneakysnoopysniper · 25/02/2021 16:14

I laughed a lot when I read most of these postings because I WFH all the time and run an online business.

I do shower every morning and do exercises, because I am arthritic and they help get me mobile. However I cant recall last time I wore make up, underwear or a bra. I wear long loose kaftans so in the event I have to answer the door or go onto camera I do look decent. I also wear my hair up so it always looks tidy. I dont drive so if I go out its a taxi door to door and usually a coat on top of my kaftan.

I do have a routine which is built around taking a mid morning break, lunch, and then time to have a nap. I work again for a couple of hours in the evening.

If I had a "normal" office job I would probably take guilty pleasure in doing what many of you are doing. All my life I worked in customer facing roles and always said that when I retired I would do what I liked.

In my favour I have to admit Im 76!

edwinbear · 25/02/2021 16:14

Vaping all day long at my desk. I gave up cigarettes during lockdown, but the ability to puff away on my vape all day long at home will have to go when I'm back in the office!

smellyolddog · 25/02/2021 16:15

I'm currently sat in my muddy dog walking clothes from this morning, I've spend the day faffing and not getting much done and I'll have showers at random parts of the day–the wine habit at 6pm while I'm trying to get the work done i didn't so all day.. so i spend my evenings doing work. It's really not good for me I need routine.

Seriouslymole · 25/02/2021 16:18

Lolastarsandstripe · 25/02/2021 16:26

Staying in my pjs! Some evenings I realise that I’m still in pjs and haven’t even brushed my hair

Tangledtresses · 25/02/2021 16:26

I put off all work today and I'll have to do it tomorrow instead....
had a bath at 2pm and a nap
I rolled out of bed at 9.30am! How can I be tired!?

LemonLymanDotCom · 25/02/2021 16:41

My sins include not wearing a bra most of the time & working with my laptop literally on my lap, all curled up on my sofa. Not good for the lower back or posture AT ALL.

LoveFall · 25/02/2021 16:56

Snacking, without a doubt. One of my friends called it her every 15 minute feeding schedule. Yup.

mainsfed · 25/02/2021 18:21

Why is not wearing a bra a sin?

Cindy87 · 25/02/2021 18:23

I haven't worn a bra since before Christmas. Not even sure they'd fit me any more, I have also gained over a stone 😬

Bringallthebiscuits · 25/02/2021 18:33

Jealous of all of you getting up ten mins before work. I’m up at 7am if I’m lucky, many days an hour earlier with two under 5s in the house. Leave around 8.15am for nursery drop off, so I have to be dressed. And still my WFH days are my more relaxing ones! It’s bliss to have the radio on and an uninterrupted cup of tea.

sausagepastapot · 25/02/2021 18:36

Doing a foot bath during work video calls. Doing my nails during calls off camera.

Food food food food food food food. All the food.

MrsVogon · 25/02/2021 18:44

No bra.
On days with no Teams/Zoom meetings I won't wear makeup or brush hair.
My clothing lurches from running gear to my nightwear and dressing gown.
I return to the office in a few weeks and I and too scared to try on my work wear. In fact I have forgotten how to actually dress!
I've always eaten at my desk anyway, so no different there.
Either working super early and finishing super late, then the next day not getting motivated until 10/11am!
Not showering until the middle of the day.

Food wise I'm fairly good!
