I'm intrigued.
Some days I don't brush my teeth until after lunch! I have got in the habit of rolling out of bed, brushing my hair and pulling on clothes then go downstairs just as the morning meeting starts. Then shower and brush my teeth on my lunch break and eat my lunch at my desk! 🙈

I don't wear a bra or bra let... my breasts just find their own preferred resting place.

ichundich · 25/02/2021 18:49

Lie-ins, lazy breakfasts with the family, not washing my hair as often, not tidying up as much (no one can visit or worse, 'pop round'), staying up past midnight. I ditched my daily large glass of wine a couple of weeks ago though, which I'm pleased with.

ProperVexed · 25/02/2021 19:01

footbath during work calls. ??? Inspired! I'm getting mine out tomorrow. I spent a happy hour sorting out a new Teams background for my calls. I now have Bridgestone's Lord Hastings gazing lovingly at me!

ProperVexed · 25/02/2021 19:02
  • Bridgerton's.
ineedaholidayandwine · 25/02/2021 19:09

Too much snacking
Lounge wear all the time
Hair goes a day or so longer than it should before washing, same for shaving legs
Keeping my computer on until roughly 9pm
Doing housework between work

ragged · 25/02/2021 19:15

Artful soap dodging.
Wear the same clothes for days & days (including to sleep in).
Too much sitting.

SplendidSuns1000 · 25/02/2021 19:16

DH finds every possible way to put off doing work. I'm a housewife that currently has no chores because he does them all instead of working. He also cooks a 5 course meal for lunch every day because it means less time working.
I do find myself having 2 breakfasts- one when I wake up at 6 and another at 10 with snacks in between...

Campervan69 · 25/02/2021 19:17

Going to have to knock this on the head very soon but the youngest and I have been having a very lazy time of it. Roll out of bed at 8.50 and log on to work. 10am we have a full English breakfast! Going to allow myself one more week of it then back on the diet and exercise.

Happymum12345 · 25/02/2021 19:20

Recording lessons in my nightie - with a jumper over the top!

Merename · 25/02/2021 19:24

Procrastinating work tasks so much, when if I did them all early doors I could easily finish early or fit in some exercise during the day.

Also eating. Oatly barista lattes.

FredaFlintstone · 25/02/2021 19:25

@edwinbear totally with you on the vaping.

In work I may nip out to vape for 5 minutes maybe 3 times a day. At the moment I've got so used to vaping as I work that I sometimes realise I've had it in my hand for half the day.

A few weeks ago I actually picked it up and took a puff without thinking in the middle of a mind numbingly boring zoom. I was incredibly lucky that there was a screen share going on which had momentarily distsacted people and that no one particularly senior was on! Since then I've had to turn it off and put it in a drawer when I'm on a zoom in case I do it again!

Gliblet · 25/02/2021 19:25

Smart top, hair done, makeup on (pyjama bottoms, slippers, maybe a blanket over my knees if its a cold day).

Using Prime or All4 boxsets as audio books to keep me company while I work.

Second breakfast.

Secret chocolate stash in the drawer that's meant to be for stationery.

I have no idea if any of my dresses fit, or whether I can still walk in heels.

GintyMcGinty · 25/02/2021 19:29

I didn't use to drink alcohol on weeknights. No I'm not bothered about a mid week hangover and don't have to drive in the mornings.

I am wrecking my eyes staring at a screen all day. I don't take enough breaks and forget to wear my glasses.

TheGriffle · 25/02/2021 19:40

I don’t take enough breaks and sit curled up on the sofa with my laptop on my knee despite work providing me with a desk to use.
Watch Netflix while working.
Make my lunch before clocking off to eat it.

alittlequinnie · 25/02/2021 19:44

I tried to keep everything the same when I started to work from home so my alarm goes off as normal and I still "dress" for work - heels and everthing - I used to cycle in so I've been enjoying being more dressed up than usual.

I'm virtuous re not snacking etc and I do a 40 minute fast as I possibly can walk at the end of every day..

... but I am a really REALLY farty person and I have got totally used to letting rip at my desk whenever I feel like it - I'm terrified I'm going to forget I am no longer alone when I am finally back in the office!!!

My DH has been working from home for years and I am shocked to discover how much naked time he has around the house on a regular basis!!!

FairyDust123456 · 25/02/2021 19:46

I also make lunch before clocking off for lunch! 😱 The Pj's, getting out of bed 10 minutes before logging on. Today, 8:59! Logged on by 9:00, but that's a new record for me, 08:59. Lack of exercise and tee oh so much snacking. Probably put on easily a stone and a half. I MUST DO BETTER. Starting Monday. Obvs.

thecatsthecats · 25/02/2021 19:47

A mid afternoon shag.

To be fair, I was a lot more productive afterwards.

SimonJT · 25/02/2021 19:47

Shirt and tie on top, pants on the bottom.

MintyMabel · 25/02/2021 19:51

I haven't worn a bra for a year.

scrivette · 25/02/2021 19:51

Leggings, always leggings and not even with a long top, just warm hoodies and sometimes a hot water bottle on my feet.

MintyMabel · 25/02/2021 19:51

oh, and a lunchtime nap.

purpledagger · 25/02/2021 20:06

I have loads;

Working from my bed is the main one. Although today, I gave myself a pedicure whilst on a call.

Flibbitygibbit · 25/02/2021 20:15

@sneakysnoopysniper

I laughed a lot when I read most of these postings because I WFH all the time and run an online business.

I do shower every morning and do exercises, because I am arthritic and they help get me mobile. However I cant recall last time I wore make up, underwear or a bra. I wear long loose kaftans so in the event I have to answer the door or go onto camera I do look decent. I also wear my hair up so it always looks tidy. I dont drive so if I go out its a taxi door to door and usually a coat on top of my kaftan.

I do have a routine which is built around taking a mid morning break, lunch, and then time to have a nap. I work again for a couple of hours in the evening.

If I had a "normal" office job I would probably take guilty pleasure in doing what many of you are doing. All my life I worked in customer facing roles and always said that when I retired I would do what I liked.

In my favour I have to admit Im 76!

Goes to google kaftans... I like this idea !
CravingTheSun · 25/02/2021 20:18

I’ve ‘watched’ so many series whilst working. Just easy stuff to have on in the background (I rewatched the whole of Made in Chelsea Grin).

I also paint my nails at my desk and let them dry whilst I work.

Some days I don’t take an break at all but I will spend ten mins here and there hovering/loading or unloading the washing machine.

Constant snacks and tea.

EggysMom · 25/02/2021 20:19

Decent tea-breaks and a lunch-break, something I never had in the office but make the time for at home, I go to join DH for a natter or check on my plants in the greenhouse.
