I'm intrigued.
Some days I don't brush my teeth until after lunch! I have got in the habit of rolling out of bed, brushing my hair and pulling on clothes then go downstairs just as the morning meeting starts. Then shower and brush my teeth on my lunch break and eat my lunch at my desk! 🙈

Farting with abandon.

MrsVogon · 25/02/2021 22:16

I've taken to talking to my pets as if they are work colleagues. We meet in the kitchen for a chat every day!

tillyandmilly · 25/02/2021 22:16

i am lucky my firm have granted me to WFH - indefinitely - I am so relieved! Don't think I could go back to office life and the early starts!

Oysterbabe · 25/02/2021 22:19

I play Animal Crossing on my Switch during training. You can't tell on camera.

Ontheboardwalk · 25/02/2021 22:27

Love this thread. All of the above

My biggest issue is not controlling my facial expressions when the camera is off. Need to remember this when real life starts again

friendlycat · 25/02/2021 22:27

God these are just great. Yes midday baths having started work in pjs. Going for a fast walk and returning sweaty and not showering until mid afternoon. Quiet days reading in bed whilst checking emails on my phone and only getting up mid morning to deal with them.

Some days no work. (But I run my own business and it’s much much quieter). Poor motivation and taking an age spreading out work instead of just tackling it. Too much MN. Too much internet shopping.

Watching A Place in the Sun at 3pm every day.

Whydidimarryhim · 25/02/2021 22:28

Loving the honesty on this thread.
I’m off sick so doing most of the above.
I drop my son to school with my nighty under my coat.😀
I drive though and a hat to cover my hair if it needs a wash

JakeChambers · 25/02/2021 22:28

I only straighten the front of my hair, and I set the reminder for my first meeting to 30 minutes to use as an alarm clock.

Runnerduck34 · 25/02/2021 22:29

Working in my bedroom, dressing table is my desk, so i roll out of bed switch on laptop do a few emails then get dressed, often dont brush my hair til.mid morning or first video meeting.
Sitting too long at my desk( sorry dressing table) without a break.
Wish I had time and freedom to do housework / gardening / watch wanted down under but we are too closely monitored to get away with it, but can sneak in a load of washing

purpleme12 · 25/02/2021 22:31

Wow can't believe the amount of people who get away with hardly any work in the day
Would be nice to have a job like that!

louderthan · 25/02/2021 22:32

I don't actually get out of bed until about 10. I get a cup of tea, grab my laptop and start working in bed.

Lukasmummy · 25/02/2021 22:33

Not work from home but homeschooling the kids has added many bad habits. Our favourites using the spelling words in rude sentences, practising the grammar stuff with rude sentences, and teaching fractions using chocolate. The kids have also learnt many colourful words to describe both Teams and our printer (did I mention that we have renamed it pain in my ass on the home network?)

jollyhollyday · 25/02/2021 22:33

Would love to do all these things but as a PP said I'm too closely monitored
We have to state what we have done every day by the end of the day. Every minute is accountable so apart from putting a washing load on, I pretty much have to sit at my laptop all day :-(

bumblingbovine49 · 25/02/2021 22:33

Too much MN. Solved now with stayfocussd app on laptop (maximum day time limit in certain sites allowed) and arelated app called freedom on my phone ( only allows acesss to MN and other time wasting sites at set times set by me)

Stayfocussd is free. I paid for the phone app but worth it. In fact I have 30 mins left on here on my phone before I get kicked out at 11pm and I've used my daily 20mins on the laptop today already .

Just have to sort out the Kindle fire as well nowGrin

SneezyGonzalez · 25/02/2021 22:34

One of DDs teachers even taught a lesson in her dressing gown 🤣

user1471538283 · 25/02/2021 22:39

I start very early but have started ending later as well. I always plan to go out after work just for a walk or something but never do. I've also been ordering Deliveroo for lunch. All this has to stop and the walk has to start!

oil0W0lio · 25/02/2021 22:40

don't get to bed before 3 a.m. only wash my hair every two weeks🤦‍♀️

JakeChambers · 25/02/2021 22:41

Also, our first meeting on a morning is an All Hands call with about 200 people on it, so it's always camera off. That 15 minutes is when I slap some tinted moisturiser, mascara and tinted lipbalm on.

Swearing at emails and sticking fingers up in camera off meetings has started creeping in lately too. I'm going to have zero meeting etiquette when I'm back in the office.

Thankfully work have said it'll only be for a day or two a week. Although I used to leave the house at 6.20am, and I've no idea how I'll go back to it.

Bedforme · 25/02/2021 22:43

I’m really letting exercise go I’ve not replaced the times I’d have been downstairs and back seeing someone or walking from the commute.
Otherwise I’m on a helpline so have to be present. More time on MN and not enough screen breaks.

Wellthisisallfuckingmarvellous · 25/02/2021 22:44

I’ve decided it’s a lot more civilised to eat cake in my room so I don’t have to share it.

I have a small number of fruit cakes with a cake knife (I’m not a savage after all) and side plate up here that I hide away.

I also have a packet of cokes hidden down the side of my bed at any given time.

CeliaCanth · 25/02/2021 22:44

Burping loudly and unashamedly as and when.

Chanandlerbong01 · 25/02/2021 22:46

I have hourly alarms set because I fall asleep far too often! I’m not used to being on a computer so much so my eyes are struggling and I can’t help but shut them for a minute. At least with the alarms the longest I drop off can be an hour.

TheDoctorDances · 25/02/2021 22:46

Shagging at lunchtime! Can’t do that in the office.

Nith · 25/02/2021 22:47

A good consequence for me is having a proper lunch break. I used to have a sandwich at my desk, now I to into the sitting room and either read, go on social media, or watch something on TV or if he's around, a natter with DH. I must admit it's usually pretty mindless TV, but at least it's a real break.

Chanandlerbong01 · 25/02/2021 22:48

I’m possibly your DDs teacher ha
