I just think Mulan is iconic. Currently watching the new one

By Rapunzel I obviously mean Tangled Blush

Zhx3 · 21/02/2021 14:42

I love Mulan (cartoon version). Lea Salonga singing "Reflection" gives me goosebumps! It's definitely up there as one of my favourites, probably my favourite.

JackieWeaverHandforthCouncil · 21/02/2021 14:45

Moana is the best followed by Brave. Frozen was ok but massively overrated - very thin plot and the songs weren’t as good as Moana.

BrumBoo · 21/02/2021 14:45

@SummaLuvin

lol Brave is Pixar, not the same category...
It's Disney-Pixar. Just means that it's Disney in 3D.
Peopletry · 21/02/2021 14:48

Coco is good too. And moana.
I like Tarzan and the Lion king too

CuriousSeal · 21/02/2021 14:48

Moana is the best, but Mulan is up there! I love Hercules too!

Morgan12 · 21/02/2021 14:52

Nope it's Zootropolis.

Or Tangled if we are talking purely about the musical ones.

Jody21 · 21/02/2021 14:53

It just makes my top 5, after Robin Hood, Lilo and Stitch, Hercules and The Fox and the Hound.

Volcanoexplorer · 21/02/2021 14:53

Noooo Moana is the best! Mulan a way down the list for me.

FightingTheFoo · 21/02/2021 14:54

Objectively speaking I think Aladdin is the best film - best songs, best pacing etc. But Belle is my favourite princess because we both have brown hair (I was about 8 when I decided this).

Moana is excellent though. I just have a lot of nostalgia for hand drawn.

It's a shame because Princess and the Frog was beautifully drawn and could have been perfect but they fucked it up by getting Randy Newman to do the music, which was just meh. If they'd gotten Alan Menken or even the Frozen team/Manuel Lin Miranda (although I think sadly this was just before Miranda became really big) it could have been amazing.

RelaisBlu · 21/02/2021 14:55

The Little Mermaid has a special place in my heart as my DDs just couldn't get enough of it when they were tiny

mogtheexcellent · 21/02/2021 14:56

1 Brave
2 Moana
3 Mulan
4 Tangled

I swap 1 and 2 around depending on whether I need singing in the film or not.

BrumBoo · 21/02/2021 14:57

The first Wreck It Ralph was brilliant. As a gamer, I loved all the Easter Eggs, and the story (whilst a tad predictable) was genuinely touching. Very much the Monster's Inc of the last 5 years. Shame the second one totally lost it.

Luckyrabbitfoot · 21/02/2021 15:00

I’m so happy to see so much love for Robin Hood here!

Robin Hood
Mulan
Tangled
Monsters Inc
Moana

My top 5!

strawberriesunited · 21/02/2021 15:04

@Flibbertygibbertywoo

YABU. It’s clearly Moana.
This ^
FuckKnowsMate · 21/02/2021 15:05

My sister would agree with you OP! For me however, Hunchback of Notre Dame every time! It hardly ever gets a mention on Disney threads though which I just don’t get!

poorbuthappy · 21/02/2021 15:05

@Bristolbongos

It’s stressing me out that Mulan is fighting a battle with her hair down. I can’t even wash up without putting my hair in a bobble or it annoys me
This. We are currently watching Agents of Shields and I'm shouting TIE YOUR BLOODY HAIR BACK all the time.
Swrigh · 21/02/2021 15:16

The Lion King, surely

Bristolbongos · 21/02/2021 15:34

To anyone who hasn’t for Disney +, get it! So many films on here id forgotten about

OP posts:
Tomcullenisahero · 21/02/2021 15:38

The Jungle Book is my favourite, and of course Toy Story is fantastic.
Oh, I forgot about The Black Cauldron! Love the oldies

NellyTimes · 21/02/2021 15:39

Just throwing Hunchback of Notre Dame into the ring.

Magnificentmug12 · 21/02/2021 15:41

Moana and the lion king.

For Pixar I like joy and toy story

tentimesaday · 21/02/2021 15:41

One word:

Cinderella.

Needhelp101 · 21/02/2021 15:51

YABU, sorry OP. As others have said, it's Moana.

One gets:
The Rock singing You're welcome.
Jermaine Clements singing the best Disney villain song ever, Shiny ( I love that this was apparently written as a tribute to David Bowie.)
Astonishing animation.
Strong, normal sized female lead, with no love interest.

Great film!

Emeraldshamrock · 21/02/2021 15:52

Yabu. I'm another for Brave.
