When they were little??

DS2... a bin man, they only work on a Thursday!

A prize goes to the first person to guess when our bin collection day was!

Bookwords · 16/02/2021 21:50

Yep, that's it!

when little - an actress, a vet and a cat

now - 18 - a teacher - 16 a mental health nurse - 12 a cat!

WaltzingTilda · 16/02/2021 21:57

What am I missing - you already said its Thursday in your op ?Confused

Bookwords · 16/02/2021 21:58

Ok @ghostyslovesheets (I'll bite Smile) how is someone a cat?

OP posts:
Bookwords · 16/02/2021 21:59

@WaltzingTilda it's just a joke... we have them even in lockdown!

My eldest wants to be a doctor. Second, an actor, third a boxer, fourth, a tiger.

jendifer · 16/02/2021 22:01

A friends daughter wanted to be a car. That way she could get wherever she wanted quickly. She was about 4.

TheLightSideOfTheMoon · 16/02/2021 22:02

A shark.

A ninja.

Now he wants to work in IT. His ambition has clearly gone...

NovemberR · 16/02/2021 22:02

My DS wanted to be a World Helper. When questioned about this he said, they wear blue hats and hide behind rocks and shoot people. We have no idea if he meant UN peacekeepers, or something utterly random!

He now works for a major aviation firm. Not sure that's helping the world to be honest...

DD wanted to be a burglar. She's a mental health nurse.

Bookwords · 16/02/2021 22:02

@SmokedDuck I've got 🤞 for either one or two!

I think she's saying her 12-year-old still wants to be a cat. Unless her eldest actually is a teacher at 18.

Prufrocks · 16/02/2021 22:04

Eldest is 6 and ricocheting between wildlife cameraman, pilot and racing car driver (but only electric cars).

My 4 year old wants to be a teacher.

yes exactly - I'm guessing your DS wasn't a bin man when he made his comment?

She's 12 - she likes food and sleeping - it's a joke

JesusHRooseveltChristAgain · 16/02/2021 22:07

At 4 a bus driver; at 6 a train driver; at 8 a pilot, then it all fell to pieces and at 10 it was a "YouTuber" - I'm not convinced it's an actual profession Hmm

Kpo58 · 16/02/2021 22:08

DD wants to be a bus driver

Bookwords · 16/02/2021 22:09

@KleeVanLeaf 🙄 me! I see now 😂!

I thought she might be part of the Cats stage play 😆

Bookwords · 16/02/2021 22:10

OP posts:
ghostyslovesheets · 16/02/2021 22:13

LOL no she saw the film - it put her off for life!

merryhouse · 16/02/2021 22:14

chef
pilot

now studying Engineering and applying for Law respectively

sallievp · 16/02/2021 22:15

A pediatrician like Daddy...or a binman 😀

Bookwords · 16/02/2021 22:17

@sallievp similar sorts of jobs..... NOT!

OP posts:
sallievp · 16/02/2021 22:17

It's funny why so many children want to be bin men when they grow up . All my friends children want to be a bin man too, like my son. The truck does look cool I suppose.

sallievp · 16/02/2021 22:18

@bookwords yes exactly it did make me laugh!

RedPandaMama · 16/02/2021 22:20

I asked my mum this the other day. Apparently at age 5 I told her I wanted to be 'a rock climber or a ballet dancer'. I've always been more of a reader/collector/immobile type person so found this hilarious. I now work for a homeless charity so nothing like my 5 year old dreams.

My DD 3.5 said she wants to be a cat doctor. I asked if she meant a vet, then explained what a vet is. She thought about this and then said 'no mummy, just cats only please' exclusively a cat veterinarian then Grin
