I don't really have the words for this so will just link to this story:

OP posts:
ChaToilLeam · 13/02/2021 11:15

There’s something wrong with this woman, but something more wrong with her much older, very rich husband.

FourTeaFallOut · 13/02/2021 11:19

"One surrogate had trouble giving up the baby but legally had no rights and had to hand it over"

Fucking hell. Scum.

megletthesecond · 13/02/2021 11:20

Yanbu.
That is awful. The dad is certainly old enough to know better. They can't be offering good care to that many babies.
What a fucking weird set up.

I know! The way this is just glossed over is disgusting. Angry
WhereDoMyBluebirdsFly · 13/02/2021 11:23

The only child that she gave birth to is not her husband's child. It looks like that child was born when she was just 17, then she met this millionaire creep and they started renting wombs from poor women to build a baby farm. For profit surrogacy is fundamentally exploitative.

Cactusowl · 13/02/2021 11:23

That’s really sad, I feel so sorry for the surrogates who are probably doing this out of desperation rather than a real want to help someone fulfil their dreams of having a family.
Looking at all of those similar aged babies I questioned why she didn’t open a day nursery, at the least then the children would have the correct ratios for care.

cherryolives · 13/02/2021 11:27

Well that couple certainly make another couple with many children look eminently reasonable. What on earth were they both thinking?

I wonder if the husband is the driving force behind it and she's going along with it for some reason.

BrutusMcDogface · 13/02/2021 11:31

They all look of such similar ages! They must, must have an army of nannies despite saying otherwise. It’s physically impossible to look after that many babies without a lot of help.

So, so fucked up.

Cocomarine · 13/02/2021 11:34

I expect they both want to do it.

He’s probably an egotistical arsehole who loves the idea of the public display of virility and wealth, accompanied by a bit of fun notoriety and a wife with a tight vagina.

She probably wants the fun of, “the world’s best mum” / “biggest family” Instagram page - with as many staff as she needs to do the donkey work.

🤷🏻‍♀️

I’d say both as bad as the other, except that as he’s putting up the money and she’s young... I’ll go 60/40 on him.

I certainly wouldn’t be starting threads blaming the mother alone @OhHolyJesus 🙄

AaronPurr · 13/02/2021 11:35

I hope they're lying about not having help. If she's truly doing it without nannies or outside help that's even more concerning. Imagine how neglected those children would be with just 2 adults (and possibly just one for most of the day) taking care of their needs. Sad

I don't understand the problem?
Being contrary to the OP really is a point of pride for some people.

Fucking hell.

@Posturesorposes

This is a bizarre and appalling scenario. However - I am curious as to why the story has been spun as a “mum’s” story or we think something wrong with the woman? From what I gather the couple had one child biologically and then they have bizarrely decided to keep having lots of children via surrogacy. Awful on so many counts but how and why is this a mum story/thread rather than a something must be wrong with this couple story/thread?
This x a bazillion. Plus he ALREADY has grown up children. And she's very young - so arguably does not understand what parenting is and should involve, whereas he bloody well ought to totally know what being a parent should be.
AnaisNun · 13/02/2021 11:38

Cannot possibly be doing it without nannies/maids to help. Not even remotely possible.

They’re insane. Poor kids.

CounsellorTroi · 13/02/2021 11:39

As the surrogates are hosts, with no genetic link to the baby, I would wonder how many times she’s promising to go through egg collection, or whether they have loads of embryos in the freezer. What she is doing is certainly not without risk to her own health.

TheSpottedZebra · 13/02/2021 11:41

She hasn't given birth to his child.

He has adult children. She has a daughter, 6, from a previous relationship. He met her as a single other and now they have bought loads of babies.

That article also says While still using surrogates, Christina has not ruled out having other babies herself but said it currently not practical while IVF is a big strain on her body.

Odd that they've ruled out already making a child 'traditionally'.

Akire · 13/02/2021 11:41

Wow just wow. There is a reason mother nature general restricts you to one baby a year! I’m sure being a millionaire helps and all but you can’t possible spend time with each child when they are all so little. they can’t keep her having 10 kids a year surely???

Same4Walls · 13/02/2021 11:42

And she's very young - so arguably does not understand what parenting is and should involve

Whilst I'm not saying he is blameless she already had a daughter before they met and had been raising her as a single parent so it would be disingenuous to say she was a naive and clueless.

TheSpottedZebra · 13/02/2021 11:42

Exactly, Troi they've ruled out ivf for her, but ruled IN (presumably) multiple cycles of egg collection.

CodenameVillanelle · 13/02/2021 11:44

@Iqqq

I don't understand the problem?
Are you serious?
MadamBatty · 13/02/2021 11:47

The surrogates are hosts? What a disgusting phrase

I wonder how these children will feel about this situation when they grow up?

MyLittleOrangutan · 13/02/2021 11:47

Ridiculous. There are more than enough babies in the world for a start and those kids are just going to be raised by nannies or looking after themselves for the most part. How much 1-1 time are those kids going to get with their parents. They're not toys you can just collect.

murbblurb · 13/02/2021 11:47

she has an instagram profile. That tells you all you need to know.

he's a sugar daddy, she has a meal ticket and can spend lots of time playing with babies - adult bargain. (ref Anna Nicole Smith) I've no idea about the divorce laws in Georgia so I hope she has a plan when she gets wrinkles.

lifeturnsonadime · 13/02/2021 11:51

Women's bodies and babies are just commodities.

Vile.

MagpieSong · 13/02/2021 11:52

I think it's weird to ask. Yes, obviously she's not got a healthy view on relationships or an understanding of children's emotional needs, which indicates she's had a difficult time. So, it's unreasonable as an objective person to ask if she's 'got issues' - obviously the answer is yes, which is very sad for those children.

CounsellorTroi · 13/02/2021 11:52

It’s the standard phrase used in the business. Straight surrogacy is when the surrogate’s own egg is used, host surrogacy when it’s the prospective mother’s own egg.

I don’t agree with surrogacy ether.
