of people and why? I'll start by saying as a brit I just love the Aussies for their chilled out nature and dry, self depreciating humour.

Fiji. I was lucky enough to spend 9 months there, the people are amazing.
Cyprus is also incredibly friendly. I only spent a week there but have recently been working with many Greek Cypriots and they're lovely.

New Zealand.
Friendly, easygoing, down to earth.

Lots of love for the Dutch here and some of it deserved.

However, when I lived there, I came across a surprising amount of racism, especially towards black people. Colleagues who I’d thought were nice would make racist jokes, and one joke in particular was really horrible.

I know there’s racism in the UK too, and perhaps the Dutch are just more open about theirs, in the same way they’re more open about their sex lives and toilet habits.

Scotland. I loved living there.

Never once went on a night out without making a new friend.

@LadyMonicaBaddingham you spell Cymru like that.

I don’t have a favourite. There are good and bad people everywhere, and I find the perpetuating stereotypes on this thread a bit Hmm

Lykke1000

For some reason my small hometown seems to have a significant portion of Estonians living there so I've met them through work and at university.

Just humble, down to earth, calm and kind. For some reason I've always just "clicked" with all the Estonians I've known and I don't click with everyone.

@HitchFlix

Very interesting 😀
Do they not come across as rude, weird, quiet and depressed? And what does the language/accent sound like to you?

Thanks for replying

I love Italy (and have a fantasy life as a big scary nonna cooking massive meals). Food, art, history, wine, Vespas, demonstrative culture.

I love Norway for the mountains/trees/water geography, the open pragmatic people and the sheer beauty of the place. The light is incredible.
Also fiske suppe.

I love Great Lakes area of Canada, the North East of USA .

I also love the Netherlands. We’ve had do many wonderful family holidays there.

By far the friendliest and most hospitable people I met were Germans (in Germany)
Then Ireland

Aussies are laid back and most of my family are there but my goodness the bragging!!
