It's a Parking One

Ok mumsnetters I need some ideas.
I popped out for 10 minutes this morning and come home to a random car on my driveway (outside my house). This is private property and allocated parking for a New Build. The Main Street it's off is permit parking only - this car has a permit.
The only place I can park is blocking it in causing a semi obstruction which I've done.
Police won't help as a civil matter.
Note has been left on the car by me telling them it's private property.
What else can I do?! Immediate neighbours have no idea whose car this is.

If it's got a permit for your road, it must belong to a neighbour surely?

Just let a couple of the tyres down.

Dogs just started barking so I looked out the window to see a young (compared to me) man, looking at his car and then at mine.
Now this made me laugh. He went to NDN house and knocked on their door?! I saw them talking and then NDN pointed to my house.
Young Idiot then slowly walked to my door (still window watching) and knocked.
I stuck my head out of the window and said can I help?
To his credit he was very sheepish and apologised and said can I please move my car so he can get out. I told him I was just out the bath and he would need to bear with me for 10 minutes......
It’s not quite been 10 minutes, so, any witty responses I can give him?!

Please ask him where he has been and WHY he has Parked there!!!

Ask him why he thought it was ok to park on your drive and demand a tenner

I need to know WHY he parked there!

Ask him how much the close to city centre parking fees rate is these days.

I’ve seen it done before where someone has parked over a drive and the homeowner has wiped dog shit under the door handle 😂. They didn’t park there again. Have you got a dog for next time ?

I had a car block my driveway once so I did the same then gave the guy a lecture when he appeared half an hour later

Stand in your doorway, patting pockets, ask him whay he thought your drive was a good place to park; what on earth was he thinking; who does he think he is; and on and on....

Then go back in for your keys... and stand and look at him.. "Well?"

Then come back and tell us what he excuse is

Then you can consider moving your car...

Or just "why did you park on my drive"

Place marking for the excuse he gives

Ask him for his address to forward the parking invoice.... £10 an hour.

Tell him it's your husbands car who has gone to work for the day and you don't drive
