Cadburys Flake

Most underrated chocolate bar. Nobody goes, "ooh I really fancy a flake babe, grab me one from the co-op" do they? It's always a Snickers or a Bueno.

But they're the best. Better than all the rest.

Nuts ... not nots!

10kaDay · 07/02/2021 23:04

@DeltaFlyer

I like a flake but it's messy.. A twirl on the other hand is the work of a genius. A flake with a coating of extra chocolate
@DeltaFlyer said it first - Twirl is UK’s no 1 chocolate bar for a reason
purplebagladylovesgin · 07/02/2021 23:07

I think the flake is the only one Cadbury didn't mess with. The original recipe allows for the thinness to form the flake layers . All they others taste foul due to palm oil.

Used to love this!

middleager · 07/02/2021 23:09

Spira was the Don.

morningtoncrescent62 · 07/02/2021 23:09

While Twixes are in the world YABU.

GreenSlide · 07/02/2021 23:12

Flakes are better in other desserts eg 99 or flake cheesecake works really well

Beautiful3 · 07/02/2021 23:13

Nope all horrible options. Its a picnic or topic for me. Flakes break and crumble everywhere and never filling.

truthisalie · 07/02/2021 23:15

No, Flake is so cheap. It's like there is no chocolate in it.

Since the spira went a wispa is the best. Flake is okay in a 99 or crumbled on top of a trifle

meow1989 · 07/02/2021 23:33

A flake straight from the freezer is divine. See also galaxy ripple.

RowenaRavenclawsLostDiaphragm · 07/02/2021 23:34

Twirls, Wispa & Time Out are my favourite Cadbury bars.

Wouldn't say no to a Spira, if they ever decide to bring them back.

Katie1784 · 07/02/2021 23:48

When someone is going to the the corner shop, for me it's always a Flake. I love the crumbliness (along with a cup of tea). Ripples are too sweet and Twirls too creamy.

bloodyhairy · 08/02/2021 00:20

Hmm, nah. I'm a chocolate fan, but really wouldn't thank you for a Flake.

NiceGerbil · 08/02/2021 00:20

Tbh if someone is going to the shop I ask for a packet of crisps and some cider.

I'll get my coat Grin

Treebranch · 08/02/2021 00:24

Gross

joystir59 · 08/02/2021 00:25

The only Cadbury's chocolate worth eating is Dark Milk. Rich creamy very chocolatey and sweet.

CounsellorTroi · 08/02/2021 00:36

I had a Toffee Crisp the other day. Absolutely vile and nothing like I remembered.

PreyingMantlepiece · 08/02/2021 00:41

I ask for it. All the time. Ahh.

borntohula · 08/02/2021 00:44

Bounty is the least loved though.

bloodyhairy · 08/02/2021 00:49

For Twirl fans: Make a cuppa. Bite the ends off your Twirl. Suck your tea through your Twirl straw. Enjoy the melted goodness.
No need to thank me Grin

Glenchase · 08/02/2021 00:52

I don’t like Flakes. They don’t melt. Try microwaving one - it’ll turn into a chunk of charcoal before it melts.

ifitpleasesandsparkles · 08/02/2021 00:55

No, what was the lovely one that was discontinued years back? Twirly inside but solid outside. In a tube shape. I want those and milky bar choos to make a comeback.

whatizthis · 08/02/2021 02:46

Surely you buy fun sized flakes and then you don't get the mess.

Wispas are the king of all chocolate bars. In Australia I have to buy them from the International Food aisle, they're a rort. But I love them so.
