Love the "OP this thread has made my blood run COLD.." responses to fairly innocuous situations.

Also amazed at the number of people on MN whose 'spider senses' start tingling at any given moment. They are always proved right as the person (usually a man) who sparked suspicion always turns out to be a serial killer, rapist, someone who dismembered and buried the bodies of his entire family...

Everybody with a toddler lives next to a wonderful park, with ducks and enough exciting activities to keep their toddler entertained all day, whatever the weather.

And in a 'quiet cul-de-sac'.

And you put them in their puddlesuits. Apparently everyone owns whatever the hell puddlesuits are

And afterwards you curl up with hot chocolate and a movie (provided screen time hasn't been exceeded)

Iknowwhatudidlastsummer · 11/02/2021 23:04

I find the opposite, on MN children dissolve on rainy days and must be driven everywhere should you really HAVE to go outside, or ideally kept indoors until any risk of rain stops.

Actually on MN children and teens are allergic to the outdoors and refuse to leave their home so.. they stay in.

Iknowwhatudidlastsummer · 11/02/2021 23:06

MN children must be entertained all day from birth, and need screens and classes from 3 days old and an adult constantly playing or crafting as long as they are awake.

However, they mustn't be given more 3 presents ever or they will be spoilt and forever damaged.

maybe if they had more toys they would entertain themselves Grin

From a current thread but have noticed on others, the sheer number of mumsnetters who have gone out with international secret spies is hilarious.

And are peoples kids in lockdown really doing online schooling for six hours, followed by online dance lessons, followed by online violin lessons, followed by online French lessons then go for 90 minute walk every day?

I’m sorry but if you and your child can’t commit to at least that, you are a lazy bum and your child will never get into an RG university.

It is a suspicously common claim on mumsnet. But I did actually live on the same landing as, and once reported to the police, an airline pilot who went onto murder his ex wife (and her dog) and dumped their bodies in a cesspit. And he definatley gave me the creeps.

He's showing you who he is. Believe him.

Alternatively, he's telling you who he is. Listen to him.

Of course not!

MN posters are so important and busy they could not possibly take even a 30 seconds break in their 14 hours working day and would never consider wasting their valuable time on taking the kids outside.

They do have a awful amount of time to post on MN though...

It pisses me of that it is generally assumed that the male or the in laws are always the toxic people in a relationship. Women are not perfect! Sometimes the woman is the one at fault.

SirGawain · 12/02/2021 14:29

OP: DH won £50,000 with his Premium Bonds and bought himself a BMW, even though we are in arrears with the mortgage a can barely make ends meet.

MN:It's his money, he can spend it how he wishes!

Eastie77 · 12/02/2021 15:53

@SirGawain it's funny but most of the threads I read about on MN about family finances always seem to point to a man's money as family money but a woman's is her own (just in case she needs access to private funds when it's time to get her ducks in a row, LTB etc).

Any woman who doesn't have access to all her husbands money is being financially abused. A man must give a SAHM free reign over his bank account and he must never question her over anything she spends the 'family money' on because that is controlling behaviour.

Also OP asks a simple question and people get sidetracked by demanding to know if it was before lockdown and all the hygiene processes they followed Hmm
