Ltb being mine.

SAHMs starting threads about how they feel MN is horrible to them. And everyone just scratches their head going ‘errrmm what are you talking about’.

HereIfYouNeedMe · 07/08/2021 18:46

Just that really

THIS IS A ZOMBIE THREAD.

For me it's the classic "race to the bottom" on any thread about spending money or... anything else, actually.

Everyone has to virtue-signal about how little their wedding cost or how "hilariously" scruffy their daily habits are.

Anyone who admits having anything nice or not struggling with money gets piled on with bitchy comments and labeled an out-of-touch snob.

Justanotherlurker · 07/08/2021 22:21

MN being out of touch politically for over a decade and still thinking it is swamped with tory voters is a new one for me, the amount of threads I have submitted to archive for future social scientists is a joke, on top of that is a 'I don't like the subject, so must be a troll' mindest that is gaining more traction.

MrsToothyBitch · 07/08/2021 22:32

I've thought all of these. Full house, caller! Come and check my MN bingo card!

Two more: when someone posts saying something like AIBU- MiL set fire to my new, made to measure £££ curtains because she thinks they didn't go with the carpet. She's done similar before; firebombing my kitchen and yet again won't pay up- should we finally go NC before she turns on my new, clashing sofa? You get a load of people trying to "help" by focusing on the interiors and suggesting that they'd never pay what you paid for curtains and let MN find you replacements etc rather than focusing on the fact you're dealing with a family nightmare and a pyromaniac.

Might just be me with bitch in my user name, but people who disagree with your post won't just say you're"vile" or "nasty" or similar if "vile bitch" or "nasty cow" or "entitled little cow" etc. AIBU is the vipers nest yes, but that seems unnecessary and pointlessly spiteful. I pointed out to someone with a different view to me saying I was clearly a "bitch by name, bitch by nature" that she'd stooped to name slinging- not me. Therefore, it was pretty obvious who the real bitch was on that thread, sweetie. Lots of nasty little digs, too. And it's never on serious, political threads or huge, dramatic situations etc either. It'll be on a random opinion thread.

MrsToothyBitch · 07/08/2021 22:33

*"entitled little cow" etc can be shoehorned in to their reply.

HandScreen · 07/08/2021 22:33

"I'd sit her/him/them down for a chat". MNetters all seem to think they could dish out a stern telling off without any push back.

^ THIS!

Also: "I politely told her..." Just because you didn't curse or raise your voice, doesn't meant you didn't act like a complete cunt.

PrincessNutella · 07/08/2021 23:00

"I was gutted." People gutted over receiving cold burgers at McDonalds, about not liking the end of a series on Netflix, over having a pimple ... really, is that disembowelment territory?

Disorganiseddad · 11/08/2021 13:26

The ridiculous drip feeds
OP: DH never does any washing up or cooking, should I LTB for being useless

PP: yes.

OP: I forgot to mention he's paralyzed from the neck down, not sure if that makes a difference
