To ask how much you were earning at 25yrs old and also at 35yrs old?

Call me nosey but at 25 I’d not quite got into the sector I’m in now and at 35, I’d already started on my career path. Went to university, had my kids afterwards, but was done by the time I was 30yrs old. I’ll start £19,000 and £30,000. I will admit that it has accelerated since. But more interested in those crucial child rearing years between 25-35.

25 (1989) - £14,000
35 - £36,000
45 - £70,000 international role

Had my child at 45 and earnings halved despite still working full time, but no travel

25 around 30k
35 Nothing (sahm)

At 24 around £15k
At 35 about £26k

25 - Zero - SAHM
35 - Zero - SAHM

In between I reached the heady heights of £23k.

25 - £24k. Before this age my wage was awful.
35 - £30k. I've just had a baby though so unless I can keep working full time, my wage will drop. I also doubt I will achieve a promotion any time in the next ten years or so.

25- 0 (still at uni doing my degree. I’d had a gap year and my degree was 6 years)
Not 35 yet.
I’m 30 and earn 48k at 35 I will be fully qualified and expect to be on around 70k

Wow all these people on £40k+ in their twenties. So glad I didn't earn that much I would have been very irresponsible with it! Fair play to you all

My salary seems weirdly to correlate to age ... So £25k at 25, roughly 35k at 35 and now £55k at (cough) 55.

25 - I was student nurse so £6k bursary plus approx over £3k - £5k bank hca shifts

35 - I was a Staff Nurse so £25k

44 - Now much less as a part time HCA (lost my career due to poor MH), plus get PIP

Sadly childless so children hasn't had an impact

£900,000 a year at 25.

It was a long time ago so the actual amounts are meaningless, but from memory my salary had increased by at least 50% over that 10 year period.

25 - £26k
30 - £37k

Will be interesting to see how much damage my 5 years as a SAHM has on my earning potential, I wonder what I'll be on in 5 years time when I'm 40.

25 I was earning about £17k

35 I was earning about £27k

Same job but changes in company and industry

Moved to a much better paying organisation at 30, worked v hard, fell lucky too, & was rewarded for it.

25 - not a lot, about 18k but abroad and was also studying

Now (I'm early 30s but not 35 yet) - low 60ks

Had kids at 30

25 - I was a PhD student. I can’t remember exactly what I was earning, but normal research council rates - today it’s about £15k

In my early 30s now, was on approx £32k before maternity leave

25 - about £19k

33 (now) - £54k plus benefits.

I’ve had one baby in that time, hoping to have another soon.

At 25 I earned around £18,000
35 it was £25,000
Went up to £30,000 st about 37 and never went up!
