Blackberry and Apple crumble with cream

Tomato soup and toast

Cheese on toast

startrek90 · 01/02/2021 18:29

Spaghetti bolognese. If I am ill my mum's eggy in a cup which is a soft boiled egg, salad cream, spring onion and Pepper Al cut together in a cup and served with a slice of toast. Only my mum can make it for me otherwise I have to make it myself.

Also my MiL potato salad always makes me feel better. I had a craving for that when I was pregnant and bless her she brought me a fresh bowl everyday Grin

Omg I am actually going to make that right now, it sounds soooo good
Calmandmeasured1 · 01/02/2021 18:40

Cheese and potato pie made with lots of vintage cheddar cheese and red onion.

Maybemay123 · 01/02/2021 18:40

Depends
if I need to eat but can't manage much pea and mint soup with seeded bread.
If I need a sweet hit it would be chocolate raisins.
Meal wise something stodgy like shepherd's pie or chicken casserole.

smilingthroughgrittedteeth · 01/02/2021 18:41

Homemade Macaroni cheese

Labobo · 01/02/2021 18:42

Pasta all'arrabiata. Lovely slow cooked tomatoes and red peppers with lots of garlic and chilli. Don't know if that's the authentic recipe but makes me very happy.

Also veg soup. And endless cups of tea.

guffaux · 01/02/2021 18:43

Steak and kidney pudding (home made), mash potatoes and dark greens
Don’t miss much about my mother but this I do

Bloodybridget · 01/02/2021 18:48

Definitely fruit crumble as a few people have mentioned, either with single cream, or quite thin Birds custard. Cottage pie.

EveryDayIsADuvetDay · 01/02/2021 18:48

scrambled egg on toast
made in a saucepan rather than the microwave

Charlie Bighams fish pie

guffaux · 01/02/2021 18:50

only for when walking on a blisteringly cold seafront, preferably at dusk.... hot salted chippy chips eaten from the paper

hilariousnamehere · 01/02/2021 18:51

Oh god I've just finished eating some of mine and now I want basically everything 😂

My mum's chicken soup
Risi i bisi (like risotto, but without the cheese and I always add leeks and carrots and chicken)
Keema curry - actually any curry
Sausage and mash
Carbonara pasta

For sweet things, chocolate cake, cheesecake, chocolate bars :)

Chunkymenrock · 01/02/2021 18:51

Hard to choose as there are loads, but either lasagne, or spaghetti with butter, salt, grated cheddar and fresh coriander. Preferably eaten alone in an empty house at lunchtime.

mothtoaflame · 01/02/2021 18:52

Jacket potato, cheese and beans. If I'm really treating myself I'll add a chicken sausage and coleslaw, mmmmmmmm

IHaveBrilloHair · 01/02/2021 18:53

Cheese.
Its my favourite food and is always there for me Smile
