To put a super king duvet on a king-size bed?

Just that. I like the look of it hanging over the sides. Does anyone have this? Is it too much?

@MoveAsideCherry you learn something new every day. So any idea whether you King and Aussie King are the same size?

I always buy duvets one size bigger than the bed, allows for tucking in.

We have an Emperor bed but only a Superking duvet because I don’t like the overhang!

We have 2 superking duvets on a superking bed but only because it was one of those that come as a set of 2 different togs that clip together. So one 4.5 and one 10 or together as one 14.5.
They pissed me off together as the poppers would come undone and DP fidgets so they would end up a crumpled mess inside the duvet cover, so I buy 2 sets of bedding the same and keep them separate but layer them, which is bloody handy when I'm having a hot flush and I can just throw a layer off my side.

Super king duvet on a king size bed here, always have. More drape less quilt fights. Also got a king size duvet on a double in the soare room. It's just common sense to me

So not Unreasonable!

My DD is getting a double bed inna few weeks and she is so excited if the though of a king size duvet, not the new bed and mattress.

Lockdown is making people so excited about the little things.

On a work trip I got given a single duvet on a double bed.........

We now have our new Emperor duvet on our Superking bed.

@cowgran in the uk we don't have queen but single, double, king, superking

We do but they aren't common so it's a pain getting bedding for one. A queen is a small double/3/4 size so a queen duvet on a standard double would be too small (if they exist, I imagine people just use double for the most part and use a flat sheet rather than try and source a fitted queen)

I believe an American queen size is closer to our king than our double and the 3 quarter is the size in between a single and a double @midnightstar66. Found this online:
