To ask what you’d do with £1500

Just received an unexpected windfall of about £1500. Very happy. Will probably do something sensible with it (have savings but planning home improvements).

But just to while away the hours, what would you do with £1500 this weekend if you could just spend it on yourself, and things you want rather than need?

Sorry, everyone: no carpets or boilers unless they are truly what your heart desires.

Under the mattress.

StillGoingToWork · 29/01/2021 22:20

Put it towards a post-pandemic holiday.

bloodyhairy · 29/01/2021 22:20

Self-improvement. Maybe try a bit of Botox, some teeth whitening. I'd love to get 'down below' tightened up too.
Sorry, but it's not enough money Grin

minniemoll · 29/01/2021 22:21

A nice path across my lawn and some lovely planters. And the rest in the savings account towards my greenhouse.

2021ComeAtMe · 29/01/2021 22:21

@TheCanyon

A new fanny trimmer Grin mine has just died mid cut Sad then stick the change in next year's holiday fund
Mid cut 😂

Nothing worse than a half trimmed fanny.

RJnomore1 · 29/01/2021 22:23

Hmm actually a new bedroom carpet

I hate this one since I moved abd it’s going to be a while till I replace as technically there’s nothing wrong with it

I miss my massively expensive feet sink in One I left.

Sarahlou63 · 29/01/2021 22:23

A year's worth of hay for the horses. Sorted.

PawPawNoodle · 29/01/2021 22:24

I'd a few more hundreds and buy a Prada handbag

ILoveAnOwl · 29/01/2021 22:25

Invisalign and get my teeth sorted.

Ltdannygreen · 29/01/2021 22:27

Pay the remainder of my credit card with it and then save the rest....guaranteed something will come up when you don’t have funds to hand.

IMightCry · 29/01/2021 22:30

I'd buy my husband another Tag Heuer. I'd have to add to it but it'd be worth it. Hd deserves it. ❤

TokyoSushi · 29/01/2021 22:32

A new bed or a trip to Iceland (when we can go, obvs)

reluctantbrit · 29/01/2021 22:33

Got this in October. Currently sitting in the savings account as the one thing I want isn't possible.

I want to book a Koala experience at Longleat Safari Park for me, DD and DH (for him purely to take lovely pictures, he is not keen on eucalyptus smelling animals) and a nice spa hotel somewhere in the area for a second day.

axile234 · 29/01/2021 22:40

Buy a new ass. Mines gotta crack in it. LOL . JOKING ASIDE I'D SIT ON IT TIMES ARE GETTING HARDER

safariboot · 29/01/2021 22:43

If I didn't have debts, I'd save it for DM's house moving costs. She struggles and really needs to move to somewhere more suitable.

mrsbyers · 29/01/2021 22:45

Had a win on premium bonds last month and with that I’ve ordered myself a Nordic track treadmill

Gingerkittykat · 29/01/2021 22:51

I bought a ragdoll kitten in July, she is worth every penny.

I'm booking a log cabin with a private hot tub for when lockdown is eased, I am sick of the sight of my house now.

I need new underwear and would buy some nice stuff instead of boring cheap stuff. I would also invest in some t-shirts to go with my new leggings as that is all I wear right now.

BeHappyAndSmile · 29/01/2021 22:53

What I should spend it on - credit card and baby bits

What I'd love to spend it on - a gorgeous morganite and diamond ring I've had my eye for months.

To ask what you’d do with £1500
FangsForTheMemory · 29/01/2021 23:00

I’d put it towards the outrageously expensive dinner service I want but am not going to get. It’s about £3000.

starsparkle08 · 29/01/2021 23:02

I’ll forget the boiler then lol and go for a beautiful diamond and ruby ring .

EasterIssland · 29/01/2021 23:04

I’ve put the money I’ve lately received on savings. We want to do a big refurbishment in the house so it’ll be used.

However, I love travelling so it can also be used on going around the corner in rhe current situation:)

livingthegoodlife · 29/01/2021 23:06

New sofa and general living room make over

Self watering herb trough

Fancy knickers

Someone to clean my oven

New clothes

Fancy haircut

Lots of garden plants

Love51 · 29/01/2021 23:12

I'd buy vision.
I saved for laser eye surgery pre kids but one of my eyes isn't suitable so I couldn't go ahead. I was initially scared of the "insert a contact lens under the cornea" alternative, then I had kids and no money! £1500 would get the lens inserted in the none-laserable eye. I'd have to fund the other eye myself!

Christmasfairy2020 · 29/01/2021 23:19

I'm saving up for new decking which is 1500 lol
