To ask what conspiracy theories you actually believe are true?

Following on from the thread where OP was looking for conspiracy theories for her kids to look at, I was wondering whether anyone actually believes any of the outlandish conspiracies.

We’ve all read about how people believe that Elvis didn’t die/Paul McCartney did die/the royals are all lizards/the earth is flat. But I’ve never encountered anyone who actually believes any of them, only people who talk about people who (apparently) believe in them.

So, what conspiracies do you actually believe and why?

@bottleofbeer

Badeyebri, exactly my point. They're not healthy because the parents should not have mixed.
But the parents are both horses. The same species. Not separate species. I've also debunked your theory that it only happens in humans.

For anyone interested, the FBI vault has lots of recently declassified documents:

Jet, horses and donkeys mate, they have calves but mules are sterile. Nature is saying no.

Until anti d was developed, we lost babies.

bottleofbeer · 27/01/2021 23:16

Ok, so it happens in animals. But the outcome is the same. Nature is telling us something.

AdobeWanKenobi · 27/01/2021 23:16
@AdobeWanKenobi Very interesting! I'll have to check that out, thanks for the recommendation.
The book claims to have a photo of JJ at his own funeral....
It could all be crap, but the documentary put forward an extremely strong case, especially once the KOTGC were factored into it. Powerful people indeed at the time.

I watched one tonight about John Wilkes Booth and that was obvious pie in the sky from the start, the DNA firmly disproved claims on that one but the Jesse one is far move believable. I mean, the greatest outlaw that ever lived, shot whilst dusting a painting? On its own it kind of makes you chuckle.

A poster upthread thought Elon Musk is an alien, to me his eyes look like pools of black with no soul, or to put it another way my DH said his eyes look like "two piss holes in the snow"...either way he gives off a vibe of pure evil to me.

Velvian · 27/01/2021 23:16

I also would have said that there were 52 statesBlush

My favourite is that the CIA wrote The Winds of Change by The Scorpians.

If it was the case that Rh pos and Rh neg were separate species of human then ALL the offspring of such matings would be sterile. You have just debunked your own theory.
gwenneh · 27/01/2021 23:17

either way he gives off a vibe of pure evil to me.

SAME. I don't think that's linked to any conspiracy though.

Saab9x · 27/01/2021 23:17

The sandy Hook conspiracy theory is sick, and @lalaland2 should be ashamed for spreading it.

JudyGemstone · 27/01/2021 23:17

Hmm I'm rh negative 🤔

Gonna have to look into this a bit more!

Then I'm very gullible too because there is some quite compelling evidence, at least according to something I watched on an obscure Freeview channel a few days ago.
The bit I remember is that it explains why help was so slow in coming - there had been a nod and a wink and the nearby ship (that was dubbed “the ship that stood still”) was in on it, when the report of the accident came in, it was mistakenly thought to be the planned mild one, not that Titanic had rammed an iceberg and was going down.

GeidiPrimes · 27/01/2021 23:18

So you believe that ready player one and ready player two will be real one day? We're not that far off it now I reckon, Elon Musk's developed a neurolink - imagine if it was combined with Oculus VR! People will create their own electricity to power it, like those science experiments in primary where you stick a prong in a vegetable to power a clock Grin Or running on a treadmill. For instance, you could eat a balanced, nutritious diet IRL, plug into your immersive VR and spend a weekend smoking dope and feasting, without the diabetes and obesity. You could meet every single one of your needs, even addictions and it wouldn't impact on real life. At what cost though?

Marinaloves · 27/01/2021 23:18

Some proper nutter around
And they all have the vote

The families have recently been given permission to sue Alex Jones for saying it didn’t happen so I guess posters might need to take care.
bottleofbeer · 27/01/2021 23:20

Why would they all be sterile just because mules are?

Why does the woman's body create antibodies against her own offspring? Why can't they find the cause of rh-? We know where every other blood type comes from.

peachweach · 27/01/2021 23:21

@Wagsandclaws

I don't think that Brittany Murphy died of natural causes, or her husband who died in exactly the same way a few months later.
Do you know, I don't know many films or anything with Brittany Murphy in, never followed her as it were but every now and then I find myself randomly thinking about just this! It's far too coincidental that her husband died in the same way not long later! 🧐
bottleofbeer · 27/01/2021 23:22

Why can your body tolerate my blood type but others apart from your own would make you very ill?

Guylan · 27/01/2021 23:24

The confusion of number of US states maybe because of this:

“ USA has had 50 states since 1959. The District of Columbia is a federal district, not a state. Many lists include DC and Puerto Rico, which makes for 52 "states and other jurisdictions"

byebyeboyee · 27/01/2021 23:24

I doubt most people on here have lost their minds conspiracy theorists like maga etc but mostly just MN peeps who are like its not outside the realms of possibility. Megan's popping belly was hilarious but honestly she had swollen face she was definitely preggo

Cattenberg · 27/01/2021 23:25

Anyone heard the weird one that Finland doesn't exist?

No. I went to Finland several years ago ... or so I thought. Where did easyJet really take me?

BadEyeBri · 27/01/2021 23:25

Why would they all be sterile just because mules are?

Because one of the markers of "species" is the inability to produce fertile offspring outside their species group.
So two similar species can breed but the offspring won't be fertile. So if Rh neg people were a separate species then they could only produce fertile children with Rh neg partners. This is not the case. Therefore Rh neg people are not a separate species

byebyeboyee · 27/01/2021 23:26

Also googling away to debunk some conspiracy theories lead me to interesting new info like how many species of human their used to be. The Smithsonian recognizes like 21 or something there was about 9 at the same time as homo sapiens

Meecrowavay · 27/01/2021 23:27
